Description
I wanted to paint snowy mountains to see how much progress I've made since "mountain landscape" (i've uploaded it here I think)It's inspired by A song of ice and fire and Skyrim
I wanted to create a landscape cold, but lush and green at the same time, very much like some parts of skyrim
And I've been re-reading some chapters of the ASOIAF books, some where the old dragons are mentioned Vhaghar, Meraxes and Balerion the black dread. i like those nemas a lot, but i picked Meraxes because he's color is not mentioned and i wanted to paint a white, albino dragon snining in the sun

This is just.... Absolutely amazing. I've never thought of one of the dragons as being albino before, and you've just completely made me re-think my thoughts of Meraxes. I love it! <3

Thanks!
The black dread usually steals the show with size, black flames and all that, so i had to make that one more interesting, give it some unique feature. i imagine those dragon all kinds of color, so that idea got pushed to the limit. And another reason is that it makes great contrast with the sky. plus, imagine this: Queen Rhaenys Targaryen, blond, almost white hair, and dressed in the Targaryen colors red and black, and riding a white dragon with red eyes. stylish, huh?

You're very welcome! And yeah, Balerion is always in the spotlight, isn't he. But the image you just gave me of Rhaenys in red and black on a white dragon... Gah! Perfect!

yeah even that black devil of a cat in kings landing is named after Balerion. the one Arya chased.
and the previous owner was actually Rhaenys haha She envied her brother or what? ahah

Simple, beautiful, epic. I wasn't sure if I should add it to my Skyrim or A Song of Ice and Fire favorites list at first! Well done indeed

thank you so much! I'm also uncertain if its more skyrim or westeros inspiration works in a strange way sometimes doesn't it

It's great!
I love the mist klinging to the valley's ground and the contrast of the dragon and the clouds.
