The first thing which attracted me in this photo was the color profile and composition. Leaving just a smirch yellow area in the photo creates a great point of interest and gives dynamism to the image.

The DoF is excellent as it clearly shows the difference between the subject, with its foreground and the background.
I also like the balance between the light and dark tones and noticed that the contrast is just right without extremely strong shadows or highlights.

I also find the dots on the leaves interesting and the way the little bird looks at the camera. The details in the shot are well captured and produce a pleasant impression upon the viewer.
