And now, time for another meme! Let us begin.

Favorite Character- Becky Rockler

The secretary brings the most laughs for me. Her sarcasm and timing are what make Becky a really fun and even complex character. Her backstory is also brought up in the graphic novel, which was interesting to say the least, as it explained (without spoiling anything) why Becky decided to work with Crow. I can see why Kaptain Man has a crush on her, her design is super cute~! Maybe it's the hair, I dunno, but I love the secretary getup, and the fact that she doesn't smile (aside from an early promotional piece) reminds me of Mandy from The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Becky will always be the brains behind the operations.

HM: Princess Farrah Day, Tephra, Crow, Malice, Emperor Hack n Slash, Ariella

Least Favorite Character- Guryon the Righteous

The design, the personality, the boss fight. Oh how I loathe this guy. It's like Gillius Thunderhead and a Canadian stereotype had a baby. He's heroic, though without the charm of Dash or even Mack. Though the RPG fighters were also bad, they intentionally lacked personality. Guryon is simply annoying due to a waste of potential. His boss fight on my first attempt was simple. But then, attemtping to replay it resulted in myself either missing him constantly, or getting hit by his axe. The machine you fight him in has such little room for error, with a large hit box, resulting in multiple deaths. Guryon ain't righteous around these parts.

HM- Princess Foxglove, Mack, RPG Fighters

Favorite Level- Winterdown

The level with the worst boss is my overall favorite. Go figure! Regardless, this level's music, atmosphere and even some of the enemies are all properly placed and recieve overall enjoyment from me. Some of the enemies are challenging without being unfair, such as the larger viking enemies. The enemies that shoot birds are also charming too. The fight with Dr. Mechano is also a nice touch, albeit a bit too easy. The real fun comes in when you "kidnap" Ariella, the kingdom's princess. Rather than having Crow kidnap her, Ariella actually kidnaps YOU! ...or, so it would appear. You ride Crow like one of the hogs from Crash Bandicoot, whilst Ariella throws axes at enemies. It's a really fun change of pace, that doesn't feel too fast or too slow. Overall, a fun level!

Least Favorite Level- Sukochi

On the other side of the coin, Sukochi makes me want to rip my hair out. Although the music is phenomonal, the level itself is a total pain in the posterior. The first crown to grab in this level is literally an achievement dubbed the "leap of faith". For a completeionist, this could result in multiple deaths, which is what happened to me constantly. Furthermore, there are tedious enemies that are either unfair (such as the masks that spit fire/ice) or with incompetent AI patterns (like the Ogres). There are other disapointments in this level. Rather than kidnap Tephra, the princess of the area, Crow instead goes for Prince Malachite, as Tephra herself is a powerful dictator. Despite this, promotional artwork shows Tephra being featured (to not reveal Malachite, though I would have loved to learn more about Tephra.) Malachite's ability when kidnapped is to make trails of solidified magma for Crow to walk on. However, the magma is unreliable, leading to many deaths, though this time over pits of lava. Finally, although the character Kaptain Man is seen in the level, you never fight him. Instead you fight the RPG Heroes. These three are given zero personality, and since one of the party members constantly heals, you are forced to fight them in a specific order. The fight is also very tedious, as you usually spam only one or two attacks. Always hate going back here for a decent score.

Overrated Character- Mack

Yes, I am aware that Mack is the main "protagonist" of the game, though I personally feel that he is a tad overrated. He is seen more often than other characters or even heroes that deserve more screentime. Notable examples such as Dash, Kaptain Man or even Guryon deserve more screentime, so we can learn more about them, rather than simply tossing them aside as one-line bosses. Mack is also annoying whenever I see his smug face, openly breaks up with Princess Mayapple in the first level, and overall contributes little to the story in my point of view. He is expanded upon in the graphic novel, though not by much.

Underrated Character- Malice

This beautiful villainess deserved far more than she did in the game. She only appeared in the segment "WYDASV" or Would You Date a Supervillain? as the third panelist. Her responses were interesting to say the least... Implying that she may have feelings for Princess Mayapple. Sadly, we never see her again after this segment. Malice only showed up out of left field and never returned... Until the Graphic Novel. Here, she was properly given character, personality and motives! Finally, an underrated character recieves love and acknowledgement!

Favorite Couple- Emperor Hack n Slash and Princess Foxglove

The couple is played completely for laughs. While Hack n Slash may appear like an intimidating warlord, when he sees Princess Foxglove, he cannot help but go "DAWWWWW" over her. This relationship feels similar to how owners treat their pets, or those individuals who adore baby animals on the internet. It's hilarious to see such an intimidating character in this manner. Personally, I do not like Foxglove for being cold-hearted, and its satisfying to see justice delievered to her.

Least Favorite Couple- Crow and Tephra

This couple does not work out in the slightest. I cannot see these two working out, as Tephra is far too dominant and strong for Crow's own good. But Tephra does need more acknowlegement.

Favorite Soundtrack- Winterdown National Anthem

Though "This is Your End" came very close, I ADORE Winterdown National Anthem. The level begins with SINGING YAKS for crying out loud! The music reminds me of climbing the Matterhorn, triumphing over the icy peak! Furthermore, the lyrics are actually Princess Ariella's full name, which is unique to say the least, considering other video game tracks (Banson's Aria) usually translate to nothing intelligble. Overall, a great track!

Least Favorite Soundtrack- None. I love the music!

Favorite Moment- The Villain Museum!

This is where I could tell Josh Hano was truly putting passion into his work. It's very unique how Crow's ancestors, despite their menacing names, are actually pixels, reminiscent of Atari, NES and other older game console graphics. The level itself is straightforward and quite simple too. The boss can actually be defeated in five seconds under the right circumstances. Overall a fun level!

Least Favorite Moment- The Rematch with Guryon

NO. NOT AGAIN. NOT THIS BOSS AGAIN. At least the RPG heroes do not return in this level. However, despite Kaptian Man appearing in the beginning of the level, He does not appear! What a disapointment.

Overall though, I found more positives than negatives. If you have not played Nefarious yet, give it a try! It's an enjoyable game.
