Description
After some feedback I've decide to go with this design layout for future model sheets.I've changed Leo's pose to an "A Frame" pose, before it was a "T Frame" pose. It seems the A frame pose is a bit easier for modeling and rigging
I hope you like this update! Page 8 of Leo's Forest basics will be finished soon!

Thanks a lot for your answer and congratulation for your original creations.
Of course, I like everything you are creating. I will mention "by courtesy of LuigiL" whenever I use Little Leo character.

Hello, my name is willy and I will be very grateful if you could give me the frame by frame sheet to make an animation Leo walking. I use to imagine adventures with my twins with Leo as the hero. Thanks

Would you mind if I took Leo and make a 3D model of him for a class assignment? I'll give you full credit. We had to have a character reference of some kind and I didn't really want want to do something overused (like Mario, which most of my class is doing).

Good call on changing to an A frame. It's always sad to see a beautifully designed character get distorted because of a Tposed rig.

How do you draw the same character over and over and still manage to make it look perfectly the same?

I don't always manage to do it but with practice I've gotten a little better. I still need practice on it but it's fun when I get close

You show later that Leo can get new clothes from his mom -- would these all be accessories on top of the base shape and different colors and patterns, or whole new clothing shapes? In other words, might you want to make a turnaround of him in only underwear so other clothes can be added on top? Long sleeves, swim trunks, animal pajamas, etc...
I almost want to model this myself, but I'm sure someone with more experience could do it far better.

When a final model is needed for in game use I think I will need to do a turn around of Leo without clothes for the modelers. For now since this is just a concept, I'm focusing on the ideas and such
Thanks for the input, that's a very important point you brought up that I'm going to need to consider in the near future

It's looking quite nice! I can picture a little 3D Leo running around on screen now. I'm really curious about the hair, now that you have mentioned you wanted it to retain its static form no matter which way the camera is. You see this effect used so rarely on characters, but I think it might make Leo look a little more like a 2D drawing, which would be amazing because that's where his roots are.
I hardly need to say it, but you are very good at bringing life to your drawings. I'm secretly hoping Leo takes on a stylized design that mimics your drawing style, in order to keep his sketchy, animated feel thriving. Of course, whatever look he takes on, I'm sure you'll make sure it's for the best.

First -- love your stuff. I've been following you for a while.
Being a rigger, I wanted to throw in my 2-cents as to the whole A-Frame v T-Frame issue:
In an A Frame pose, you get less distortion in the armpit area. Ideally, the elbows would also be bent, for the same reason. This way, the arm joints are in a neutral position, which causes less collapsing and stretching as the model moves. See: [link]
T-Frame makes the actual rigging easier, since the alignment of the joints is on a straight plane. This is mainly beneficial in the i/k arm setup. Being primarily a rigger, I tend to model my characters like this to make rigging a little easier.
So, for the amount of movement you plan for your character, A frame would be ideal, but with the relatively low detail/high stylistic look you have for your character (namely, the lack of a great deal of mass) it wouldn't make a great deal of difference whichever way you go. Most of the characters I have created are built more like Leo, with skinny little limbs, and I haven't ever had any trouble with the mesh at joint areas.
tl;dr version: Both work, especially for your art style.

In his iris. He has three colors for his iris, a dark green for the base, and the secondary colors are light green and turquoise.

I didn't know there was an older version until I saw your comment and did some research You are right that it's not that different from the original reference but I could model the character with using those referenses easily. I've too have done 3D modeling as a hobby (and partially as a job) for almost 4 years
If this wouldn't be a game character though, it would need to have a reference without clothes and hair but as a game character, I think it's better this way. The A-pose makes it easier to rig the character.

It's called A frame and T frame because the arms look like the letters (kind of )
When the arms are completely outstretched it's a "T frame" pose.
When the arms are lowered closer to the sides of the body it's an "A frame" pose
Also the legs are a bit bent and the mouth is a bit different in this version

The way his arms are positioned. This one, they're angled down forming a sort of "A" shape while the other one had Leo with this arms straight out, perpendicular to this body creating a "T" shape.
As far as I know, that's what it is.
