Description Ok, Doc Samson is finished. I could probably noodle this some more, but I think this is a good place to stop. One note: On his face I tried to show the duality of his personality by having one half of his face around the eyes (his right) darker and ominous looking while keeping the other side intense but lighter. I think it worked. Anyway there he is. I hope you guys enjoy it. On to Spidey and Black Cat next.

Edit: The previous download which I deleted, I noticed I forgot the bolt on his chest. this one is corrected.

Done in Photoshop CS3 from beginning to end.

This is great Luis, you can definitely see in the face how you worked the dual aspects and the anatomy looks slick with your blacks

Thanks Simon. I'm still not 100% sure I didn't over render the piece, but if you like it, then I'm cool with it...LOL. Thinking of adding color to some of these bw in the future if I can just get the whole color theory thing down LOL.

It doesn't feel over rendered for me, just right... anyway we're all on this learning curve and you'll no doubt feel better about the next one like we all do

Get some colours on it definitely... the theory isn't too hard really, just reference alot if your unsure anyway, just get the flats right (midtones and saturated) and use a brush with the 'screen' setting (40%)... thats the simplest approach for this and you can tweak levels and sat/hue after anyway, have a play and keep it fun, you'll have it in no time mate
