who said that death was not a beautiful thing because i recon you proved them wrong, its touches you like, right in the heart and in a way i feel like its an almost joyful free picture, like maybe because of the lighting but its beautiful.

The bird looks so soft, I actually reached out and touched my screen trying to feel the bird's faint warmth in hopes that it was still alive.
The only thing that seems out of place to me is the bird's left leg (it's on our right), It kind of looks bent up too much like there is no cartilage in it (or bone, I don't think birds have bones in their feet) or it's rubbery, but that could just be my computer screen which it probably is, or a lack of shadow (if that makes sense). It also looks longer than the right leg, but I've seen birds running around missing one leg and a chunk of the other.
Did you use a reference for this?

wow, i just noticed in your comments that your medium was "graphite, carbon, oil" and the image is that of a dead bird. did you mean that? like our fossil fuels are killing us? if so, amazing concept!!! furthermore, you're drawing something...with the remains of things that have died...carbon. i don't know, this drawing spurred me into some crazy deep thought, lol, and for that i have to thank you

this is just gorgeous! Like you said in a previous comment, sometimes rendering dead animals is a bit of a stale thing to do. But i think you pulled it off really well, you really show how much liveliness and vigor there can be in dead stillness.

an awe-inspiring image. amazing work as well. i wasnt sure if it was pinned to a tree or what at first but either way, i really love how you put in the detail of tattered feathers and the odd position of the wings. utterly amazing. props.
