Is there a reason why he looks exactly like sonic..and has a similar name? (I don't know, i dont live in the usa, so its really difficult to keep up to date with the comics :/ thankss

I'm not familiar with this, (I never read an Archie comic before) but I think that the reason why is that Zonic's world/zone is parallel to Sonic's world/zone. Adding that different dimensions have different versions of the blue hedgehog, Zonic might be another dimensional version of Sonic.
This information might not be right, so somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
