I took the chance to work on indragonsaur ’s art challenge “Demontober”, where you have to design actual demons.

Week 1 started with Paimon, Andras, Furfur, Amon, Mephistopheles, Bael, and Bune. It was pretty fun coming up with designs (especially Bael, because when I thought about his arms coming out the mouths of his cat and frog heads, I knew I had to include that).

Design-wise, Paimon was inspired by his Helluva Boss interpretation (as well as, yes, THAT Paimon), Amon wears the crown of his supposed Egyptian namesake Amun, Mephistopheles is inspired by a wooden statue “Mephistopheles and Margaretta”, Bael’s cat head is based on THAT infamous moment from The Marvellous Misadventures of Flapjack, and Bune was partially inspired by King Ghidorah and a bit of Ludwig the Accursed.

I’ve got much more Ars Goetia demons to design, as well as two additional standalone drawings on the way.
