Full disclosure: this was part of an art contest in a Discord server, and while the whole point was to redesign a character, I only did this for fun. I didn’t draw this out of malicious intent, it’s just my personal spin on a pre-existing character. So with that out of the way, let’s discuss the design.I don’t know why (maybe it has to do with the gambling aspect), but Husk really reminds me of Lemmy Kilmister, the frontman for Motörhead. So with that being said, I decided to give Husker some of Lemmy’s features, including the ace of spades on his hat, the mutton chops, and even the boils on his cheek. Don’t get me wrong, I love Keith David’s performance (and also Mick Lauer’s from the pilot), but if he hadn’t passed away, I think Lemmy would’ve been a PERFECT casting choice for Husk!
Other personal adjustments include his wings being smaller, the sleeve cuffs, and also making him a bit chubbier, since he’s a heavy drinker and because people love fat cats.
I’m not sure if I’d work on more redesigns of the characters, since some of them are already perfect the way they are, but who knows? Maybe I’ll try this out again.
