All-knowing, all-seeing, and all-powerful, Yog Sothoth is an Outer God that exists outside of our reality! Born from the Nameless Mist, he is the progenitor of Cthulhu and Hastur, as well as the father of Wilbur Whateley and the Dunwich Horror. Malevolent, and yet benevolent, he also exists outside our normal morality, making him neither good nor evil.

Like many of H. P. Lovecraft’s Outer Gods, Yog Sothoth (first mentioned in The Case of Charles Dexter Ward) is generally an amorphous blob; however, he is mainly depicted as a cluster of glowing yellow orbs, sometimes with eyes, sometimes with tendrils. So yeah, I just went with the Lovecraft Wiki’s description and let my imagination run wild.

Also worth noting is that, despite the name “Cthulhu Mythos” being more popular, Lovecraft himself called his series “Yog-Sothothery”. Also, today would have been Lovecraft’s birthday, so happy birthday to him! In addition, this was a last-minute submission for the Lovecraftian Contest in the dA-Morgue group.
