Description
This vest is the ancestor to the plate carrier. It held five magazines for the Beretta MAB-38 and could fit five magazines for the MP-40 as well. Grenade pouches were located below the belt in pouches. Some versions included pouches for other items. The vest was worn like a life jacket with no side pouches or anything. It had to be secured to the person via a belt (webbing or so on)..It was worn by Fallschirmjager and some Wehrmacht/Waffen-SS forces, Italian forces mostly. It was mostly worn over parkas/camo uniforms, very rarely fieldgrau or the italian gray tunics.

Yes, I assumed the belt was GLKs. He lets me use his stuff credit free but most of the time I give him credit.
