Well most roses ARE kinda sad (thematically, not literally. They're still just plants) because even though they're considered beautiful by everyone they're covered in massive spikes that drive people away. 

I used to have some other pics that were more focused on the thorns from the same shoot this pic came from but I didn't deem them good enough to re-submit ._.

They had some things technically wrong with them that meant they weren't very good photographs. I'm kind of a harsh judge of my own work >.> so they're deleted now.
