Description
Although there's not a lot of contrast between light and dark in this shot, i like the contrast between the subject and the colours.The subject is a sad rusty old lock, while the colours convey a bright and happy feeling. I just thought that contrast was interesting.
This is the blue/cyan part of my Spectral Collage .

i love how it the bolt and lock look sorta like a 6-shooter (or five shooter, depends on the caliber of the cartridge it would shoot) lol

this is one of my most favorites. i saw it a few months back, and had the link saved but never favorited it. i can't remember how i found it but the other night i searched all over deviantart until i found it again! i can't remember where i originally saw it from since it's from nearly over a year ago.. but regardless, i love this shot. it just catches my eye and then i can't seem to forget it

you + colors = fantastic pictures
this light blue tone is cute and as you said yourself,
its great in contrast with the rust. nice that you have the
focus on that thing and not on the lock itself.

Your use of color is absolutely incredible, and your perspective is very involving. I've always loved the whole "rusty object" thing, and I adore your capturing of the happy side of it. Beautiful picture, splendid job!

Beautiful shot. I love the detail of the foreground compared to the blurriness of the background. The title is really suitable.
It also helps that my favourite colour is blue.

Yup, knew I'd like the blue part. Good stuff as usual. I like your dof and perspective on this one too, a lot of your stuff is composed from a head on perspective I suppose so this is nice

yes a lot of my photos don't have much DOF although i do love it... I guess that came from having a normal digital camera for so long and not being able to do the really shallow DOF like you can on film SLRs. With my 300D i can get a nice shallow DOF though

really like this shot - and the focus on the bolt instead of the lock is something different - also the uneven white edge of the wall gives this added interest as well - well done

this was my fave part of the Spectral Collage, the blue is so eye catching. you did a great job capturing this, you didnt focus on the typical part, the lock, which makes it so unique and different. really great work as usual
