Description
Itβs interesting to see how the toolbar has evolved. I started out using version 4, but the jump between 6 and 7 is where there is the most change. Version 7 introduced a lot of new features too. From 7 to CS2 there werenβt many huge changes but the whole interface update of CS3 makes far better for working than previous versions. In particular, I like the ability to fit the toolbar into one column, making it longer, but letting it take up less horizontal space (click on the little arrows top, left of the toolbar in CS3 in case you missed it).
I originally made this in high school for a project in 2002 and have since added CS, CS2 and now CS3. Was originally in my scraps (the old one still is) but I've grown to like it. I mostly updated it for my site .

Pretty cool, too bad i can't afford to Buy Photoshop CS3 or its predesors (They are way too expensive)
And i can't even download it due the fact i lack a code for the program.

You've put a lot of work into this collection - very interesting; thank you for doing it. I've been a Photoshop user since v3.

Wow, this is nostalgic! I remember learning the first Adobe Photoshop - by the book - in my advanced art class in junior high. We did every lesson from the first book, and it was a big deal since the computers, tablet and software were so new. I think we were the first class to use the materials.
Ahh.. thank goodness I learned it too! It's clear from your hard work that the basic tools remain the same. I can use CS2 without being TOO confused.

I like how it started out white, then turned to gray, and gradually is back to white now.

I started with the version 4 and it's nice to see the evolution of the program in the toolbar's objects.

very cool... I started using version 7 so the differences haven't been too extreme, but it's very noticeable to see them side by side

I barely use the following feature but I wonder why it has not been added to: The colour switcher. The option of having two was added immediately after version 1, but since then it has not changed. Surely some people use this feature a lot and would find it useful to have a larger palette to return to immediately without having to click more than once.
Interesting historical work though. I have used it since v5 if I recall right, but these days find myself using Photoshop less and less because I only really use Aperture to process my photos now and they rarely need to visit Photoshop for further adjustments.

Version 1.0 came out in 1990, but it was started in '87 and called "Display" [link]
