Description
Is it coming or going? Landing or taking off?--
An example of being at the right place and the right time. I was just taking a photo of that building because i liked the symmetry with different colours, then this plane came along just in time

Nice shot!
I like how your question coincides with the colors on the building:
Is it taking off, or landing?
Nicely done.

Thanks - the question does seem to coincide well with the colours of the building I hadn't thought of that. Thanks for the feedback!

great. although the plane is so tiny, its still obviously the centre of attention... great use of lines, colour, and symetry to create a pleasing photo. your work is always so fantastic...

That is one of the most surreal photos I've seen. Amazing. You've managed to capture it just right.

wow. the shape of the clouds say 'landing' the direction of the plane says 'taking off'. The wall want's to know, but isn't sure.

It's actually landing thats pert of why i could get it in the middle of the photo. It was slowing down already and i could see it coming in. Thanks for the feedback though
I think that means you're an optimist

I'd like to think I am an optimist, but optimistic people must give terrible critiscm.

String or nothing!
Yes. It's string or nothing *lol*
How in the world did you get the plane directly centered on the meridian of the two colours??? That's, like, a one in a million shot. You must be lucky

Funny how that plane looks like miniature plane taking off from that buildings roof.
Nice shot.

i'd like to think it's taking off! but the wheels are out though so it could be landing! what is it?
lucky you indeed! perfect timing! right when the plane reaches the middle...between those coloured buildings! nice scale as well and those wavy lines that the clouds make serves as a lovely backdrop you've got all these great elements working for you

You think it's taking off? I think that means your an optimist heheh
It was actually landing. Where i was is on the flight path so there were a couple of planes every hour landing there i think. I was lucky enough to get it on the perfect angle and in the centre of the image too. Thanks for the feedback!

krystel In reply to lukeroberts [2005-04-05 17:33:11 +0000 UTC]
hehe! ya i figured it was landing, that would explain the wheels and how you were able to capture it perfectly, coz you could see it coming & prepare yourself i guess!
oooh, an i'm optimist ey! actually, i just wanna travel really badly! lol! so i was thinking fly away plane! fly away! don't land!

I think the last thing aircompanies need is to put more planes associated with buildings into public view no?

I think that's what i like most about it too. I always like photos that distort scale I remember i always use to draw things like that.
Like back in art class at high school, we had to draw a shoe. I drew mine all realistically and then had some little people and tiny car next to it, so the shoe was huge. And i had a trumpet in another one, and then at the end of the photo you could see the tip of a pencil, so it was a tiny trumpet hehe... kinda hard to explain. Maybe i should scan them and put them in my scraps
