Description
Is it coming or going? Landing or taking off?--
An example of being at the right place and the right time. I was just taking a photo of that building because i liked the symmetry with different colours, then this plane came along just in time

Very cool illusion and the symmetry is perfect. Even the shadow on the wing of the plane and dark side of the building. It works in some many ways.

Thanks I was just in the right place at the right time. I thought the building by itself was a cool shot, but the plane adds a little extra to make it unique

This is brilliant Luke! what incredible timing...It looks fantasic without the plane.....I didnt notice the plane till I full viewed, the plane adds another dimension and takes it up another level...Great work!

That's what i thought I had the photo of the building which was alright, but the plane added that extra something to make it unique

i love the fact that the building's sides are so horizontal together... if that makes sense. the scale thing is great too. despite their huge size, airplanes are still small in the grand scheme of things...
did you hear about airbus coming up with a jet that can fit around 800 people? scary.

800? I think i heard that Qantas is buying the new ones that can carry about fire or six hundred... they're buying the latest largest ones anyway
I like your point that althought planes are huge, they're small in the grand scheme of things
Well put!

I like the shots loads.. but your name looks like "luker berts"... I think its at a high transparancy? or maybe thats your real name eh??? hahaha
Its nice how the plain lines up perfectly with that line.. shame that line itsnt at a right angle to the roof... still tho fantabulous shot

thankyou I tried to take a photo of some bees after taking this one. I waited for ages for one to land on this perfect part of the flower, but i didn't get one good shot. I though 'Man... taking photos of walls is so much easier"

I think I like this shot. That's because I really like it but the central symmetry bothers me in that my eyes flick back and forth from left to right, then I see that it's not exactly symmetrical because of the difference in clouds and the difference in shading/tonality, so then my mind is at ease - then it starts all over again....
Really, I do like it with the tension between symmetry and non-symmetry. Well done.

I love the symmetry and the two different shades on the building.
The blue of the sky and the smoothness of the clouds really compliments the angles. I love it!

lukeroberts In reply to Aedan [2005-04-06 14:31:03 +0000 UTC]
I thought so too. I was glad to have some clouds in the background to contrast with the lines of the building. Although maybe plain blue would have worked too Anyway, glad you like it!

wow....the symmetry is so perfect! did you manipulate the plane into the photo?? because it is placed exactly in between were the colours of the building change. or did you just wait for the perfect timing? if you did, then that's amazing. the sky is also really beautiful too. great photo.

lukeroberts In reply to ibanez01 [2005-04-06 14:32:25 +0000 UTC]
It's not perfectly in the middle... maybe a few pixels off haha. I saw the plane and quickly zoomed in and got ready for it to be in place. I was already focused on the building and ready, so it was just a matter of good timing!
