You would think the Space Pirates would invest in an electrical net to kill Samus. Prime 2, getting shocked causes her "Power Armor" (Dark suit? im never sure what it's called in prime 2) to bug out until you hit a button combination to reset it. I can only imagine what 18,000 volts would do to one.
Probably helps the video “We are number one” has Sportacus doing them crazy flips and shit that feel right up Samus’s Alley. So that’s how this came to be.

Great, kraid is tring to get some new bug for his collection.
Though I wonder what would happen if samus hits kraid with a spine spark move.... that would be interesting to see

Plus, I think the whole 'Dark Suit Samus' thing was from Prime 3? I remember that is where Dark Samus originates from, since I still have my copy of the game. and it's still the only 3d Metroid I have whew

I swear the dark suit was Prime 2. Since you alternate between dimensions and in turn evolve it into the "Light" suit.
You might be thinking of the PED suit in Prime 3 and the "Phazon Suit" that Dark Samus was born from in Prime 1.

Well, I can't speak too much on my half. I barely got past the first half of the game, and haven't touched in a while. I was around the first planet you enter, and acquire the grappling hook. I just feel so dumb, since I know a good chunk about the 2D games, but I barely played the 3D ones other than Prime 3, which wasn't even halfway complete. I should probably find it again, and play it.
