Description
Sting Chameleon (aka Sting Chameleao) from Megaman X1 series.Part 2/12 of my MMX tribute project.
The first time it was the hero, now, I'm going for some bosses, starting off with X1's Sting Chameleon, also known as Sting Chameleao, nicknamed Spirit Sharp-Shooter of the Haunted Forest. And yes, the next entries will be bosses from all the next parts (X1-X8, plus Command Mission). Oh, and by the way, I'll be randomizing these, so that I wont be doing my favs only and every boss has a chance to appear >3
But back to the art, whew, I worked extra hard to add it ASAP, since it was meant to be posted last month and all... well, hopefully I'll be able to get this month's entry done on time |D
And I must admit, I'm pretty happy with was S. Chameleon this time, as he's my 2nd fav boss from X1 (Storm Eagle is first), but even so, I'd say he was more interesting to draw. Heh, I did have some problems with the pose, with his inhuman, reploidish anatomy and all... he was actually supposed to crouch like a ninja or something (think Greninja), but I'm very pleased with how it came out in the end nonetheless. And luckily, the X1 bosses weren't as detailed as the later ones, so it was still "easy" this time around, heh, I hope I can manage with the rest |D

Nie spróbuję, ponieważ gloryfikowane dojiny akurat mało mnie interesują |D
Fajnie że ci się podobało and all, ale jeśli mam wybierać między oryginalnym scenariuszem a dojinem na licencji, wybiorę oryginalny scenariusz (szczególnie jeśli jest tak dobrze rozrysowany jak ten z MMX).

Czy ja wiem czy to był doujin...według źródła oficjalnego nie był to doujin,tylko oficjalna manga.

Sting Chameleon is the third Maverick that X fights in the Rockman X manga. He uses armed devices to control the animals of a forest, using them to cause havoc and call X's attention to capture him for Sigma. A city was already destroyed when X arrived at the forest. Zero meets X in the forest and says they need to burn the forest to stop the animals, but X urges him to find another way, by defeating the ones responsible for this and make the animals return to normal. Zero agreed, saying he has until sunset to do so or he will burn the forest. After passing by RT-55J and finding the Armor upgrade, X found Sting Chameleon training with a dummy. Chameleon uses the animals to attack X, but somehow they returned to normal and Chameleon had to fight X himself. During the fight, X's buster was damaged by his tongue, but X also damaged his tongue using the Electric Spark. X could not use his buster much because of this, but when it became dark, X fired his buster to cast light and reveal Chameleon's position. The sudden burst of light damaged Chameleon's camouflage system, allowing X to defeat him with a charged shot. Zero was already preparing a device to destroy the forest when X returned to him.

Seryjnie zabrzmiało to jak "MUSISZ to przeczytac, i MUSI ci się spodobac |D
Aaaaanyway, jest spora różnica między "oficjalna manga" a "licencjoniowana manga".
Jeśli scenariusz pisze twórca serii a rysuje pracownik firmy, możemy tu mówić o oficjalnej mandze (Arc tak robi z GG i BB).
Aczkolwiek, w przypadku Megaman X, jak również Rockman Megamix i Gigamix, mangi Darkstalkers czy choćby komiksów Udon'u, mamy tu do czynienia z mangą/komiksem na licencji udzielonej przez firmę. Dokładnie to samo tyczy sie adaptacji filmowych lub anime (na ten przykład, popełniony przez van Damme'a Street Fighter jest równie "oficjalny" jak owa manga MMX ;3). Dlatego nazywam je "gloryfikowanymi dojinami". Nie twierdze, że ta manga jest zła, po prostu ja osobiści strasznie się zraziłem do tego typu wytworów, ponieważ najczęściej tórców takich adaptacji aż nadto ponosi kreatywność, przez co coraz bardziej rozmijają się z oryginałem... heh, a nawet nie wiesz jak cieżko jest wytłumaczyć fanom adaptacji to, że w oryginale jest zupełnie inaczej...
Najlepszym przykładem jest w sumie anime Sengoku basara (które w dużej mierze mnie tak zraziło), które miało mniej więcej tyle wspólnego z oryginałem co film Street Fighter z grą, aczkolwiek stało się dość popularne wśród fanów wszelkich shonenów, szczególnie wśród tych, którzy oryginału nie znali... co jest naprawde irytujące, kiedy widzisz irytujących mangozjebów gloryfikujących coś, co jest w najlepszym wypadku zaledwie złym fanficiem...
Z tym się zgodzę...czasami nie wiem jak ubrać to w słowa,aby nie brzmiało tak,jakbym zmuszał,choć nie miałem takiej intencji... :_)

Well, nie brzmiało tak natarczywie jak przechwałki platynami, I'll give you that
I owszem, niestety jedyne co łączy anime SB z grami, to design postaci i ich imiona, no, może jeszce pare związków między nimi...
jednak od samego początku twórcy bolesnie uświadamiają cię, że mają wyjątkowo dziurawe pojęcie kto z kim powinien walczyć, juz o tym, że najwieksze potęgi giną od 1-2 ciosów (jest taka teoria, że w ten sposób twórcy odreagowywali te niezliczone razy gdy dane postacie ich zabijały XD), najlepszym przykładem są Tadakatsu Honda, Kotaro Fuuma czy matsunaga Hisahide, którzy z mimo iż zawsze byli drugoplanowymi postaciami, byli na tyle potężni, że mało kto chciał z nimi zadzierać (hell, nawet sam Nobunaga Oda bał się potęgi militarnej Matsunagi, i dlatego chciał go zaatakować na samym końcu)... plus, większość postacie, która ginie w pierwszym sezonie (a ginie ponad połowa ekipy, w dodatku w wiekszości widzily ich juz jako zwłoki lub jak włąsnie zostają zabici) pojawia się w drugim sezonie jak gdyby nigdy nic...
I owszem, spotkałem sie z tym nie raz kiedy anime dopiero co wyszło (teraz hype już przycichł), najcześciej po to by denerwowac fanów gry rzucajac elaboraty jakie to anime jest wspaniałe...
A jako że bardzo szanuje gdy gra ma porzadnie rozpisany scenariusz oraz lore, to strasznie drażni mnie gdy ktoś neguje istnienie takowego, a już naprawde wręcz wkurwia mnie, gdy ktoś zobaczył adaptację i uważa się za eksperta, szczególnie jeśli narzuca ów "marny fanfic" jako jedyną prawdziwą wersję wydarzeń...
Zas co do nowości, to dalej uważam to co zawsze, nowości się zwyczajnie nie kupuje gdy są nowościami |D
Po pierwsze, w obecnych czasach takie gry tanieją stosunkowo szybko. Po drugie, przez ten czas będziesz miał sporo okazji, by się zaznajomić z grą, i nie chodzi mi nawet o czytanie recenzjii, co choćby o zwykły gameplay sample, etc. XD
Przypomnij sobie co się działo jak sobie kupiłeś DOA5 i nie sprzedałeś przed obniżką XD
Or better yet, ja jutro będę wymieniał moją Personę 4 Arene za Killer Is Dead, i nie dość, że bez dopłaty, to jeszce dostanę Heavenly Sword jako bonus ;3 so yeah, z nowościami naprawdę warto poczekać |3

Whoa, those spikes are already scary, but I think the "tongue" even more X3
I know actually very little about MMX, so I think that's the first time I see this character. Still, great job on it (looked it up) I can already tell it was insanely lot of work to get it done. I mean, heck look at dat tongue! Also I think the tribal design is more fiery and frequent than usual (if that makes sense). ANd lastly, great pose again

Hehe, and I don't see much difference in the tribals myself, but that's maybe because I'm the one drawing it and I don't notice the change all that much |3

That sounds like a really cool tactic to draw all sorts of characters (randomizing, instead of choosing)

Well, as much as I love chaos and randomness, it's not always that I can apply it like that, especially when I have deadlines for my works |D
But I do love doing it, usually with k10 dice, be it for randomizing fights in the GGGC tournaments or Secret Santa entries |3
Anyways, glad to hear you like it so much, hehe, the tongue was for some extra "chameleony" effect, more so since he attacks with it ^^ so I'm glad it stands out like that ^^

Is k10 dice a die with 10 sides? (here it's written d10) I once did a month long pokemon sketch challenge and each day I used a randomizer to choose who I would draw

Oh...maybe, I dunno, I didn't think about that. The point for me would be to practice drawing to get me used to it and comfortable again, to improve my time before I get back to commissions and trades. It's just a fun way to keep myself drawing every day without slacking lol that's my reasons anyway. And the way I figure, most people who would read my journal wouldn't have monster girl OCs anyway so maybe 2 or 3 would be claimed, if that

I'm practising with different stuff, including stuff I'm unsure of like certain poses or perspective, but it pays off in the end, so I'd say you should just give it a try and we'll see how it works out, and I'll be looking forward to see you designs >3

Hmmm......well maybe I'll do an easier challenge than that doesn't involve designs to start me off drawing every day, (maybe like a one or two week one at least) and then once drawing becomes more fluid again, I'll do the monster girl challenge. I just don't want to fail and start slacking cuz then I'll get totally discouraged and never finish lol but once drawing every day is less difficult/more natural for me again, it'll be easier to add something in like doing a little design.
I'm just trying to "plan for success" as they say lol and not bite off more than I can chew. I will be done school but I'll still be busy. At the end of May I also will be selling my hats at a table at a con, so I can't just draw all day for the month lol I'll probably put time limits to push myself at getting more comfortable with being quicker again

On the other hand, what's stopping you from making your own challenge?
Just think what you'd like to draw, and then set yourself a goal to draw it in a given time (doesn't even have to be daily, it can be once every 2 days, once a week, or maybe even once a month (like I do with my tribute projects). You can't get a more perfect project/challenge for yourself than one devised by yourself, ne ;3

That's true, I'm really not sure what I want to do yet but I have too much going on right now to really think about that, this week and next are looking crazy 
I think I'm leaning toward doing the Monster Girl challenge in May instead (after exams) and something simpler during, or doing it in May with non-daily goals, so I don't end up falling behind and getting discouraged. I'll figure something out
Opinion question!! I assume I'll want to upload the results, I don't want 30 new uploads though 0.o because they'll probably be clean sketches or messy line arts at the most. I also don't want just one upload cuz lets face it, nobody will look closely enough to see all my little designs. I thought maybe 3 uploads with 10 per upload? Or 6 uploads with 5 each, then people would really see each girl. What do you think? You always have good points

If you don't want too many submissions at once, you can always "hide" them, as in, not upload them to the "Featured" part of your gallery and just make a separate folder for these and keep them in that folder :3

Yeah, I more didn't want that many submissions to peoples' inbox. Except now I've decided to do multiple sketches per #/day so splitting it into 6 days per upload isn't even balanced anymore lol but I'll figure something out.

True...I'm not sure if I said already, but I'm afraid that with that many uploads, onviously people can't comment on all of them and what if my faves get nothing ): Anyway, I think I have decided but I'm not sure yet (one upload of fan art and request per day, and the original designs will be 6 to one upload, BUT I will refresh it every day with the new drawing added)

I don't submit stuff often because many of my works take just that much to finish, and yet, an art I spent over 10 hours for gets very little feedback for around a month, but a pic of a hamster gets pretty damn popular overnight |D
Though the refreshing part is a pretty nice idea, hope it goes well ^^

That's true too. I like the amount of comments i get right now though, I mean of course I wish it were higher but it wasn't that long ago when I'd get like...1, or 2...so I'm still happy lol and I don't mind some of my stuff not getting much attention, there are 30 days and I'll be doing 2-3 per day (of the challenge) so I can't expect all of them to get lots, I just don't want my favourites to fall by the way side is all. If that still happens, even with the refresh idea, I think I might do a feature journal. Featuring myself lol and my faves at the end of the challenge
