Puffins are really timid....Being only a small bird, they often being attacked by large birds like seagulls for their found food (sand eels). 

Skomer island in Pembroke, Wales is one of the very best place to visit and see puffins. They don't mind being closed to human as a method to deter large birds from attacking them. They often come close within your reach!
They are migrating birds from the North Atlantic and only come and breed in the UK for about 8 weeks around June and July each year. They are fascinating to see. Once you see them, you always wanted to see them again and again! I make a trip to see them every year at Skomer!
