A picture of Sasuke wielding his Chidori, drawn for
. I had a bit of difficulty with this one, so I apologize for the mistakes and the poor camera phone quality 
. Made with water colour, marker, coloured pencil, pen, pencil, and acrylic. Referenced from a Google image.
Any tips on how I can improve are greatly appreciated (especially the hair!)

wowo great job..maybe just a bit more shading and highlights in the hair would help..other than that..it's spot on!! The black background doesn't help much since the outline is also black.

I'd say you got the details and colors on the clothes down pretty good, the lightning effect in the show has always been all over the place though so I doubt anyone would blame you for having a bit of trouble with that.
Overall though I think you did a pretty good job, and most people would be able to figure out who this is and what they are doing without being given much more context (so long as their familiar with the show that is).
Definitely the hair could use a bit more line detail, but otherwise there isn't really much I could readily point to that would need much improvement.

Actually, the lightning was one of the easier parts for me xD. I mostly had trouble with his face and getting the colours right, and the way the shading is doesn't look as dynamic as I wanted it to. Especially the hair... I'm not really sure how I should highlight it

Ah, well I'm not really sure what else to suggest besides more lines on the hair because I don't do human or anime stuff; still though merely through the act of practicing and doing it you will find ways to improve with time (even if it's unconscious).
Of course no problem, I was a bit nervous about that particular bit of feedback just because it didn't come across as positive as I normally comment on your stuff; but I'm glad you saw that I'm just trying to help and all and not trying to be a jerk or anything.
Anyway, keep up the great work as always.

And right on, hopefully with enough practice I'll improve more soon. I'll be sure to experiment with a few more lines as well ^^.
Ah, well please don't feel nervous about pointing anything out; I really like an honest evaluation of my work. The only time I would assume someone is being a jerk is if they were just straight up bashing lol.

I think if I ever do include lightning I'll just have someone else draw it and just have it flash in and rapid fade with some light effects.
Definitely I'd say your very good at drawing in the anime style; I can almost always tell who the characters you are drawing are supposed to be (if I know that is) and they usually turn out quite good.
Alright cool, I try to be as constructive as I can; still there's a fine line between being helpful and just griping.

One can only hope, part of the problem with Flash effects is you never know how cool it's going to look until you are already done with them and you can test it. (By then you might find out that the effect you just spent an hour on looks lame, so it goes. ha ha).
