Frieda has gotten herself in trouble again it seems.

"After the pirates dropped me off after some time with a fresh set of clothes and tools I was finally able to continue doing research. I found out they had left me near an area known for nature worshipers and I knew what my next article would be about.

From before I had known that the local population often ventured deep into the woods to offer tribute to the forest spirits and to receive bountiful harvest in return, a harmony which many urban populations can only dream of. I wanted to find out more about their rituals and wandered up the path to learn more.

I hadn't even reached the top before I found my feet rooting me to the ground, my form becoming more rigid and more treelike. I was thoroughly stuck, able to sway very little as my arms became branches. I steeled my resolve and stayed calm when I noticed the other trees in the area were alive as well.

Evidently this was part of the local's ritual! They would trek up the mountain and become trees along the way, staying that way until their canopies bore fruit that would part act as the tribute to the nature spirits and part as the nature's bounty they would bring back. My neighbors assured me I'd be back to normal after the tribute was made. It took me about a month of waiting until I could finally write this article!

o my dear readers, I leave you with this warning: Never approach strange rituals unless you're perfectly aware what you're getting into! Of course I don't have such luxury for being the one to bring you such warnings!"
