Snapraptor Basics

1 Snapraptors can change genders depending on their environment and bonds with others. Within a single-sex group if a pair-bond is formed between members of the same sex, one of them may opt to change genders for their partner. This process takes several weeks to complete and once finished the individual cannot go back unless conditions change.

2 They tend to prefer meat but can eat anything. Monsters are the only exception, being purely carnivorous.

3 Mesothermic means they are neight warm blooded, nor cold blooded. They can regulate their body temperature to a degree, but do rely somewhat on their environment to keep warm.

Snapraptors are a semi-aquatic species of theropods from a distant planet called Solaris. Where Earth dinosaurs evolved towards avians, the similar species of Solaris took a very different evolutionary path. Snapraptors were the dominant species on their home planet until humans arrived. The two had rocky beginnings but now enjoy a mostly peaceful coexistance.
