Description
I am a huge fan of Strugacki's Brothers "Roadside Picnic" book and the concept of "Zone". I find the atmosphere of Chernobyl Exclusion Zone very close to it, it's my constant inspiration. This picture was created using acrylic paints and ink on paper first. Then, I took it to Photoshop and Painter to add some details and fine tune whole image.Related content

I wish shadow of chernobyl was as good as the book it's based from. Although SoC was a good game...
Good picture

this is beautiful. i've always liked those huge power lines. they remind me of like urban trees, in concrete jungles. not to mention the way they always contrast with the sky is appealing. : ) anyways, i love this piece.

And again, a master peice.
I really love it. Such depth of shadow and feeling. So oppressive.
And I love the worn and broken look to the pylons, they look as if returning to nature...
Excellent work

Indeed, Strugacki's Roadside Picnic and Andrei Tarkovsky movie "Stalker" both are so cool!
