Description The first snow of 2009 in my village, took a walk up to the bypass and managed to balance the camera and hold my breath to capture a few long exposures.

Ohhh I stress! I just held my breath and prayed that I wasn't shaking at all, or any wind would move the camera lol

Thank you

I love the way its captured not only the light trails but the reflection on the tarmac as well, making the trails look like they are hovering. Nicely done, something ive wanted to play with for ages, even more now !

Yeah the wet road from the snow really helped. It was something I've wanted to do for a long time, but not really focused enough on it. This was a spur of the moment try, very pleased with it.

This is really good especially considering you shot it without a tripod. Lovely.

Nice focus! Especially considering you didn't have a remote shutter control!

thanks tom, i went out with this in mind, but didn't think it would work so well, thought there wouldn't be enough cars. Lots more snow now sorry if its a bit cold for you!

You took this wouthout a tripod? That is really well executed.

Lulabelle In reply to Flipmoe [2009-02-02 23:23:48 +0000 UTC]

I rested the camera on the railings of the bridge, but as I didn't have a remote shutter, i had to hold the shutter down and try not to move at all! It took a few tries, holding my breath seemed to work.

You couldn't get out of my village, or even my car out the drive (live on a hill). So walked about 7miles yesterday with camera, best day out with camera in a looooooooong time! The land rover meant you had to go to work tho.... boohoo! Should have stayed home with camera!
