I finally managed some time to repaint my Mattel Jessica Rabbit doll. Even though the mold is not that accurate, especially the strong molded eyes, I think she looks more like Jessica now.Full facial repaint with acrylic paints, real lashes added, hair restyled.
I didn't make the repaint too realistic, because Jessica is a toon and that's what the movie is about...toons

Beautiful job.Β Β The difference is amazing.Β Your's is SO much more accurate.Β Β I didn't even realize the mold wasn't accurate, but you certainly worked your magic on it.
I know you mentioned the doll is Mattel, but what kind of series?Β Is it posable?Β If so I am impressed that you don't see the joints.

Thank you!!! It was a special edition made in 1999 I think, not partΒ of aΒ series. The body is not posable, only her arms where the gloves start can be rotated, which is a bit odd.

You're Welcome.Β Β Oh, I see.Β That IS weird.Β I figured it was one of those nicer collectable dolls in which the joints are not seen...like a higher end BJD dolls where the knee and elbow joints are covered.Β Β I just never seen that on a shoulder joint, but there is always a first time!

Lol... yeah, it's not the best likeness what Mattel did but on the other hand it's the only Jessica doll that was ever made (besides the Tonner doll that looks even less like her) so I don't complain
