Description
ENGLISHEnglish version of a photoshop coloring tutorial, it's originaly made for two friends and , but I hope it can help you all.
It looks kind of long =_= but that's because it has a lot of image references, I think it's better that way...
It's separated on various parts:
-Base colors.
-Masks.
-Shading.
-Lighting and eyes.
-Color for a pencil-made lineart.
-Bright on hair.
-Final effects.
Please sorry if you notice that my english is horrible xD.
Other tutorials:
Lineart (only spanish)
Step by step
I have to thank for the DD!

Instead of masks, it's easier to just lock the transparency of the layer after you put paint down where you will be working. Symbol's at the top of the layers panel and looks like a small checkerboard.

Thank you!!! I've always found it so hard to navigate through that program and know exactly what I'm looking for when I'm wanting to color.
Your tutorial is really well done - congrats for the DD.

Btw, you should learn first some color theories before making tutorials. Shadows are never black and highlights are never white, otherwise you are making just a crappy coloring.

I'm not making a color theory tutorial.
I did this just for two of my friends, if the rest of the people could find something useful, then better. But I'm not trying to teach anything, I'm just explaining my way of coloring.
On that drawing I used dark-green for shadows, not black (I use to variate the colors for highlights and shadows).
And if you have somewhere a color theory tutorial then I'd love to read it. Because I've never learned to draw anywhere, but studying by myself.

Sorry for that you don't know, what you are talking about, but if I wearr in your pants, I wouldn't make a color tutorial, where I show how I CAN'T Color. That was my point since the first post I made.

And again: I'm not making a color tutorial... I'm showing techniques on photoshop (have you read it?). Maybe if you apply this techniques combinated with your awesome skills about colors you can make something nice on photoshop.
