Description
This is a breed of horse that was designed for my writing projects. They are kind of like a Vampire type horse and are used by the Lhorre Vampires.

*** New breed details and changes*** Because this is a very new breed, I am making changes at they develop, so please, this information is the correct information and has not been changed on the breed sheet yet. A new one will be uploaded in a few weeks when I'm more confident of the breed standards and way of living!

- Young breeding colts are driven out of the Mare bands once they become of breeding age. Lheering horses do not breed with each other, but with mortal horses. Foals are born mortal, average horses (depending on the mortal horse breed!) Once offspring dies, they take on this form.

- The offspring of Lheering horses are born STERILE and are only able to breed once in Lheering Form.

- It is very common for Lheering stallions to remain bachelors until they challenge and defeat breeding Stallions with Herems. He will breed with these mares, producing very few, but vital offspring. Stronger stallions will actively add mares to their herds through out the years in an attempt to produce as many offspring as possible.

- Alpha mares will chase out Lheering stallions during the spring season and seek out potential herd sires of established herds. Lheering mares will only breed with the strongest stallions and covet Mortal stallions with in their ranks. Alpha mares will attempt to keep their stallions from breeding other mares and they do not accept the company of mortal mares.

- Lheering horses are nocturnal by nature but can tolerate sunlight very well if needed.

- Lheering horses are omnivores. They generally feed off grasses and forage, but it is tradition to eat ones rivals upon defeat in order to gain their strength. In times of famine, Lheering horses will hunt down meat, even going after the weaker, mortal herd mates in times of desperation.
