and that angle of perspective was just right for him! he never gets as much on-screen time as he should, but he still makes an impression, and that dramatic pose just says it all.

but that look on his face and the way he's holding his sword, it's like he's warning someone off and at the same time getting ready for a fight, but he's so relaxed about it, and *sigh* he's just so cool. =w=

The steely composure in itself is the weapon. Yes, to be strong - coolly but when fell tranquility... Mihawk already the look shows that the winner. And just can't not deserve liking. Therefore I so respect it.
Eiichiro's Ode ingeniously gives life to each hero. I love all, whoever they were. It surprisingly and inspires!

i totally agree, which is why it's still, to this day, one of my favorite series even after all these years.
i remember when it first came out, and it's just gotten better and better, and the characters have developed, and all along the series it's been inspiring me with its characters and their stories and their battles.
and yes; major respect to mihawk for winning the battle already by just being that confident! ^_^ i still can't believe he taught zoro! (my other major fangirl crush of the series)

Yes, such ser. cling to the soul. It is a pity that not always it is possible to find the similar!I sob or laugh loudly to tears. And there is no feeling of falseness - everything lively, individually and interesting.
I at first refused to read and anime or to look a manga because drawing style did not like. Still was surprised, why so popular One Piece? But then curiosity overcame, I decided after all to see... and now I am very glad that I can put in works the strong feelings, representing heroes One Piece. It too a peculiar happiness, especially when if try to express the nature, but not one their simple image. ^^

if you'd like more manga/anime i can recommend a few if i know what genre/type you like? one piece is still one of my top favs, though, and nothing quite comes as close in the same style of story.

not boring or romantic? shoot, that didn't really narrow it down...shounen, then i guess...
have you tried any of these:
eyeshield21 (sports; art style is not typical, might take a bit of getting used to, relatively recent, finished)
yu yu hakusho (a bit like dragonballz; fighting, and monsters and tournaments, an old one, finished)
tokyo crazy paradise (gender bending, and an old one, finished, but sometimes has bad scans; still one of my top favs - has more romance than the others)
the breaker (martial arts; typical korean fighting one, kinda violent, but pretty cool; onto second season, ongoing scans)
onepunch man (kind of a spoof of generic heros, done by the mangaka of eyeshield, updates slowly, very recent, ongoing scans)
rurouni kenshin (samurai in the meiji era with a reverse blade; older, finished, one of my top favs, lots of sword fights, and the mangaka is releasing an alternate storyline starting this year)
full metal alchemist (magic wielders and war set in kind of world war 2 era maybe, but alternate universe, and a fairly emotional rollercoaster ride, and the manga and anime are different; the brotherhood anime is better, and closer to the books than the original anime)
don't know what else to give you til i know which of these you've read/liked... there are too many to choose from...
