This is just the best light you can get.
This time it looks it's comes straight from God to that church.
Amazing

i would like to see the light source in the frame. Yeah, I love how churches are engineered to control the way you feel while inside them.

Seeing that this photo has the size of a wallpaper close to my screen's resolution, I was wondering if I could use it as a background image for my desktop, if you don't mind.
It's awesome!

I love this... The selective desaturation, the light and shadow both of the young girl and the people behind her, the focus, and well the image as a whole. This is absolutly ... TRES BELLE...C'est tres manufique!
I coulden't help but to favorite this one.
Cheers. When I have the time I am definatly checking out your gallery!

I'm not going to try to soften my opinion at all for this, but... Oh thank god. I'm not the only one that finds the red a complete and utter distraction. Personally, it made me cringe at the photo and wonder why people love it so much (not to mention, wonder about the devart community's degression these days)... then I took it upon myself to see a full on greyscale. "Oh, thats why." ... I keep reading about a Schindler's List (the correct spelling--I refuse to allow a name such as Oskar Schindler be butchered) "vibe", but to be quite frank, I see no connection other than the comparison of "ooo look!!!11! red, pretty red." You may have had some deeper meaning to the red, but asthetically... haha... no. This is not to say that I dislike the photo itself. It is a great piece. I'm sorry if this came off as a harsh flame. I just see it as having potential that hasn't been fulfilled. If you haven't noticed already, I am not one for "DUDE! great job! love it!." No matter how many people like something someone won't, and personally, I enjoy someone laying it on me. Not only does it reminds me that not all sheep will be shorn, but that there are actually people out there willing to give some sort of criticism and perhaps some way to fix it. YAY! now I sound pompous and am babbling. Seriously though, this piece is (I'm assuming) meant to be dramatic. The pinky red just doesn't bring that out. Once again, I apologize for sounding like a cruel sadistic bitch compared to the general public. Atleast I cared enough to give any form of input.

hiya! nah, you ain't sounding like a cruel sadistic bitch, just someone that has something to say and i really apreciate it, really.
why the red scarf? well, dunno, i felt like doing it. and... coz i didn't want the lighting to be the only thing on it.
anyway, dunno much about technic and so on so...
but really, thanks for saying what you think.

Beautiful, great use of b&w. Also reminded me of Schindlers's List, which gives it a bit of poignancy too. Where was this taken?

This is beautiful! I find no matter what way you look at the Vatican church there's no way to show how absolutely huge it is but this gives you a good idea for sure good job on a getting a nice shot in there, I found it painstakingly difficult and only got tourist shots

Wow. I see this, and it's inspiring. I love the red scarf, the rest being black and white . . . the light . . . the shadows . . . her shadow in particular. Just the whole concept projects this feeling. I feel uplifted. I like how it can be religious, or nonreligious, depending on how you look at it. The shot just seems huge and impressive. The architecture and how big her surroundings are make it seem like infinity. I don't fav many things . . . this is now number 50 out of the two years I've been on here . . . but I had to. It just really struck me.

i love the way that red is the only color in the picture. it makes you want to look more closey to find out who the person is and where they are. it really sticks out in a black and white picture!
