Beautiful cat and an awesome photo!Β  The people down the street from us had to put their cat on a leash, because she insisted on laying in the street.Β  Cats have a mind of their own.

Thank you very much!

I think it's safer (as long as they aren't on a deck or somewhere like that) to be on a leash to go outdoors rather than be free.. Esp when you live in town/city. So many people abuse and poison them, that's really not worth letting them roam around free

Yeah, I agree.Β  Sadly a friend of mine in a place where animal rights are not as respected has seen a lot of cats poisoned and abused.

In contrast I have a friend on a farm out in the country, who has a semi-feral colony of barn cats that live outdoors and do pest control, but they're far enough away from everything that it's not such a problem since she does make sure they get basic care.

Yup, not in all cases is it bad to have an outdoor cat. But I think when you live in a City or Town that's where it gets complicated. We have strict laws here but that doesn't mean people follow them. I've personally had my own cat get poisoned when it was outside, that was a terrible and horrific sight (the last time I ever let any of my cats outdoors w/o leashes). A friend of mine also had her cat get beat so bad he ended up having to get his front leg entirely removed. Just not worth it to me, but if you live outside of town and far enough away then all you have to worry about is typical mother nature and not someone poisoning or beating your cat because they got in their flower bed.

Yeah, if you have neighbors at all close by your cats NEED to be inside, IMO.

Fortunately my friend can't even see neighbors anywhere around, and I don't think there's much in the way of traffic either.

Aww, kitty!

Nice 'candid' shot of her (?), she looks very relaxed. Love the grass and flowers framing the image and since they're both green, that touch of red (which I assume is a garden hose? I might be wrong) is awesome.

Thank you

I was laying on the ground to take this photo I wanted it from her view not from up above.

& it's not a garden hose it's her leash, shes always on a leash (supervised of course) when she's outside

Ahh, I see. Hope that wasn't too daunting xD. But it turned out nicely . Ohhh her leash I see. I couldn't make it out since I saw her on the lawn, and automatically thought hose xD.
