Hi! nice traditional art chibi of Levi! may I ask if you used a waterbase coloring pencil to color Levi or a nonwaterbase type?

because with a waterbase type (and with the style you're going for) you can color in the base color first and then dab it with a wet tissue or wet cotton ball so there wont be any of that little small spaces.

And what's neat with the waterbase coloring pencil is it looks more like it was made with watercolor but since your using a pencil, you're more in control with Β how you color your drawing.

And yes, you can even use any paper since technically the dabbing part is the only thing you have to worry about.

but anyways, hope this helps. Β

Thank you!
I currently use Faber-Castell Polychromos (Only for the second time though and for the first time on this kind of paper). So it's nonwaterbased.. :/ I used watercolor pencils before this set and they worked really nice, but they broke quite easily when sharpened. Anyway, I think I will use them again for this kind of paper! Thank you so much for your advice!

i know what you mean!!! sharpening them is such a hassle especially when using the standard sharpener (the thing with the hole) cuz yeah... it will really break the pencil lead. and it's such a waste!

try sharpening it with a cutter and slice the pencil tip outward so not to hurt yourself. I use the cutter more as sharpener cuz I can control the sharpness or bluntness of the pencil lead.
