I swear, I can never draw Ganondorf correctly, but this is as close as I've gotten so far. I always end up making him look too pretty or dainty, and those are two adjectives that do not suit Ganondorf. I referenced the scene from the mirror chamber in Twilight Princess in which he is about to executed. I think that's my favorite scene from the game....Metallic/grunge textures from cgtextures.com
Also, I'm going to get OOT for the 3DS tomorrow, sooo excited~

It's like something out of a graphic novel... kinda. Nice job. Whatever textures you used add a lot to the 'energy' of the scene. It's quite incredible actually. And yes, one of the best, if not THE best scene in the whole game. Of course, I am still working my way through the City in the Sky. I will get there eventually. I figure a great game is like a great dish of food: you just have to take your time to enjoy all the savory flavors.

I really like this painting. I can really see the fury in his eyes... So often expressions seem flat, but this one really does feel he's staring with hate at something off panel... It's very intense.

Thank you! That's probably why I have so much trouble with him. I'm so used to painting people with a sort of aloof or neutral expression, but Ganondorf can't be painted that way, it just doesn't suit him.

I tend to have similar problems with drawing him, but you definitely nailed it! I really, really love the colors and the way that this looks like some antique oil-on-canvas that you'd see displayed in a museum. ;D

...The nut shouldn't have expected it to work twice per 'life'. XD I'm sure that's why it failed when Link got him at the end of the game.

Yep, that's when he started to get out of those chains. The ending with Zant cracking his neck always confused me...like maybe the two were connected somehow and if Zant died Ganondorf couldn't be revived even with the Triforce.
It was still awesome how the guy had a sword sticking through him and was just fine though. The power of the Triforce...I need to find one of those...
