Description okay, I really hope I haven't forgotten anything.. I was busy chatting :'D And as long as you're going to make an eevee it should turn out fine..Because as I already said: I'm not 100% happy how the chest turned out, but I can't say for sure if it's just becuase of the fabric..
The eevee isn't that big, but somehow I ended with 4 parts..huh..
Well, assembling the parts isn't too difficult, but I'll probably make a tutorial again, because the Luxray tutorial is really popular o.o (I can't understand why, though :'D)

Since posting a link to the plush won't work, just visit my gallery!

Pattern: IMPORTANT: the size of the pattern is DIN A4!
Pt.2: Eevee Plush Pattern Pt.2
Pt.3: Eevee Plush Pattern Pt.3
Pt.4: Eevee Plush Pattern Pt.4

also there's a tutorial available, take a look!

IMPORTANT:
please give me credit when using my patterns, it's only fair

I'm doing to do a shiny zorua with this, you're the best for making this, it's actually a decent pattern with no mistakes, from what i've seen! It's kinda rare to see a pokemon pattern that isn't rushed!

The whole belly or just the breast part?

the whole belly it's very thin and then the plushie looks skinny and it looks strange i got everything else right only the belly that needs to be larger and wider

okay, I've taken a look at my other patterns (with proper bellies).. but since I don't know what you've tried, I can only say this:
the only difference between this one and the other ones is, that the belly is wider..so cut the belly lengthways in the middle and add a few centimeters (about two fingers or so).. The angle of the legs shouldn't change, since the eevee pattern is pretty similar to the one I used for mudkip (mudkip has a wider dummy, but the curve where the leg gets sewn onto the body is pretty much the same)..
it's a bit difficult to say for sure, since I can't try it out right now.. that's the only thing I can say right now, unfortunately..(even more because you might have already done that)

And that's exactly what the tutorial is for (although explaining is seriously difficult D: )

I brought the wrong colours I brought a dark brown instead of a light brown that would not be a problem in making a eevee plushie would it? it will end up looking like a chocolate coverd eevee lol

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Luminous-Luchador In reply to XxDenzuSilveryxX [2015-07-05 10:30:53 +0000 UTC]

Actually I used the wrong colour too
Eevee isn't as light brownish as I made him, but there wasn't any other colour available..
If it's darker than the real eevee, yours is just tanned

Oh gaaaawd that's so cute o.o seriously!!
I hope it wasn't too much trouble since you had to adjust some things ^^" but I think the pattern should be alright since (I think) I've used it for the second eevee I made..
But still. This is way too cute Im really happy seeing this, thanks for showing me~

I think it might have printed weird or something, I don't know what happened. Everything looks fine in the images and then as I was sewing some pieces wouldn't match up. I didn't add much seam allowance because I hand sew and my seams are tiny so I don't think that would have caused it. I did have trouble printing it at home so I had it printed out at Staples, maybe there was some sort of error. I didn't mean to imply that anything was wrong with the pattern, I just wanted to mention it in my post in case anyone else had printing trouble like I did. It's an awesome pattern and I'm so thrilled with the results!

which parts didn't match up? the belly she posted seems, small for Eevee but may just be me

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Gluevah In reply to LadyGlitch [2015-08-04 06:12:48 +0000 UTC]

For me it was the legs and butt area of the main body pieces I think. I don't remember 100% though.

Because I wanna make my own but not waste material if something does not fit and re-sizing it often goes wrong

Luminous-Luchador In reply to Gluevah [2015-03-25 07:16:19 +0000 UTC]

Nonono! I know that you didnt say that there isn't anything wrong! But you know, it could be my fault too it already happened once that I made a mistake while digitalizing it, so it's fine that you said it
Because then I can take a look and see if I made a mistake somewhere..otherwise more people might have trouble and I don't want that
So it's actually good when people point out stuff like that!

Maybe it'll be helpful to specify the pieces that gave me a bit of a hard time?Β The pieces I had trouble with were the muzzle, and the belly. The muzzle was too big, and the leg parts of the belly were too small. I trimmed the muzzle down and it fit just fine. I widened the leg parts on the belly and trimmed down the legs a little so they fit together. But then the legs on the body pieces were too big for the legs on the belly part due to making them smaller, so I trimmed them down too. All in all it worked out, and my eevee made from your pattern is much cuter than one I tried to make a pattern for myself! I have so much trouble with head shapes, body shapes are usually pretty easy.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Luminous-Luchador In reply to Gluevah [2015-03-25 14:42:14 +0000 UTC]

thank you very much for that info~
I'll take a look at it as soon as I get home! It could actually really be that the muzzle is too big since I scanned it on a different piece of paper than the rest of the head (my scanner is mobbying me sometimes, you know). That's why I usually have one piece which I scan on every page (like the paw), so I can adjust the size..but I forgot it this time, haha ^^"

oh yeah..I hate heads. Way too much trouble...but I have trouble with almost everything :'D It takes me forever until it looks nice..
And your eevee is so cute especially the white fluffy neck fur thingy...
but I can't believe that you're bad at pattern making, your plushies are seriously amazing o.o

Gluevah In reply to Luminous-Luchador [2015-03-25 18:38:10 +0000 UTC]

I hope it was helpful! Wow, digitizing a pattern seems time consuming. You do such good work Β

I always have to make adjustments as I'm sewing, so I'm not good at patterning so much as adjusting for errors, lol!Β

That white fabric is soft but it made such a mess when I cut it! It also sheds a little, lol!Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Luminous-Luchador In reply to Gluevah [2015-03-25 20:58:16 +0000 UTC]

nah, it only takes about 1-3 hours, depending on how many pieces there are

well, at least you don't fall into despait when sth doesn't work out :'D
When I try adjusting sth it turns out worse in most cases *cough*

ah, it's the same with every fluffy fabric.. I hated working with the brown fabric for the eevee...was the same..and you couldn't undo the seam, because then you'd rip a hole into the fabric :/

Gluevah In reply to Luminous-Luchador [2015-03-27 01:38:54 +0000 UTC]

That's a long time though! To me anyway.Β

There have been several projects I gave up on, one I picked back up and it came out kinda bad lol.Β

Minky is pretty easy to work with, but that "ultra cuddle" fabric is the devil omg. I tried to use it for a ferret and I will never use it again. Neverrr.Β

Have you considered making a poochyena plush? I'd jump on that pattern, lol!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Luminous-Luchador In reply to Gluevah [2015-03-27 11:09:44 +0000 UTC]

I spend so much time on my computer, so two/three more hours won't kill me

Oh, sad to hear that .__.

Hahaha
Neverrr is something I often thing while working with such fabric
And I just had an idea when you said poochyena I have this super fluffy grey fabric at home and I didn't kbow what to use it for..abd I love poochyena~

To get the plush to be the same size as the one you made, do you print the pattern on regular size paper? I can't wait to try this!Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Luminous-Luchador In reply to Gluevah [2015-02-02 02:56:03 +0000 UTC]

jup, I always make my patterns in a way they can be printed on normal A4 paper
Simply because it's easier for everyone

And I'd be happy to see the result if you make one

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Gluevah In reply to Luminous-Luchador [2015-02-02 03:52:00 +0000 UTC]

I'll definitely show you the results! Once I can get the fabric I'll be making a shiny Eevee. Mine will be a bit different because I can't embroider, so his eyes will be made from fabric u_u I'm so grateful that you share your patterns, I love to make plush but I have a very hard time designing the patterns and your eevee is one of the cutest!Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Luminous-Luchador In reply to Gluevah [2015-02-02 03:54:13 +0000 UTC]

mine are made out of felt I wish I had an embroidering machine, but I don't have one :/
Thank you very much~
And that's exactly why I share my pattern..because I often see plushies I'd love to make, but there aren't any pattern for that

Your eevees eyes are felt? They look so clean and neat! Maybe I'll use felt, fleece stretches.Β

Luminous-Luchador In reply to Gluevah [2015-02-02 17:43:09 +0000 UTC]

jup
if you know how to sew them on, they look really nice..also since the fleece is black, it looks way better because you can't see the yarn

I'm always like: When is this finally finished?! Because the details take like forever...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Gluevah In reply to Luminous-Luchador [2015-02-02 19:08:17 +0000 UTC]

I'm always tempted to take shortcuts, like using a fabric marker to draw on a mouth or fabric paint on the eyes instead of sewing on the colored part. Depending on the plush I might use the shortcut, or I might not.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Luminous-Luchador In reply to Gluevah [2015-02-02 21:25:22 +0000 UTC]

ah I see
You don't even want to know how I make my plushies :'D
Sometimes I even wonder how I manage to finish them because I lose my motivation pretty fast if things don't work out the first time or seem to be very time-consuming

Gluevah In reply to Luminous-Luchador [2015-02-03 04:45:49 +0000 UTC]

Once I start a plush I work nonstop (except for food breaks and going to work and sleep), it's just getting the motivation to start that can be hard for me.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Luminous-Luchador In reply to Gluevah [2015-02-03 14:20:03 +0000 UTC]

I see
So there are other people than me with I-can't-find-the-motivation-to-start issues like me
I always get motivated when I've something to do, like learning...like..right now :'D

Gluevah In reply to Luminous-Luchador [2015-03-10 02:46:05 +0000 UTC]

I'm hoping to start soon, if I can afford to buy the fabric. One more question, how much seam allowance should I leave when I cut the pieces?Β
