"Now here's a little rant.

I am terribly DISappointed in some of these so-called Sonic "fans" who have been with Sonic for years. VERY disappointed indeed with them.
Let me make this short and simple: Some of the Sonic fans are getting too jumpy at every little thing and every new character and every NEW concept.
“oh no, a white hedgehog with a weird head; LET’S KILL HIM!!!” Come on guys… You murderers. Do you want Sonic to die? I don’t. I’ve only been a fan for a few years but even I know that if any of this goes on, for much longer, then Sonic will crash and burn for good and we’ll never have a new game. . . EVER. And I gotta tell you, some of you people would really miss Sonic.
I hate how everyone’s like “I HATE NEXTGEN” and “SHADOW’S EMO” and “SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG’S THE WORST GAME EVER!!!!” Well look at it this way: WHAT WOULD YOU DO? Tell me: do you have a good plot to use? I’m not sure you do, do you?
Why do you hate Silver and NextGen and everything else? I’m not sure you even have a reason anymore. either way. . . You hate Silver because he's different (well, you may not ADMITE it, but that's really what you're mad about; he's different from Sonic so you hate him. Just admite it.)
And every time a new character comes out, the “fans” instantly go “OH A NEW CHARACTER, HOW CAN WE ASSULT, MUTILATE, AND MURDER HIM/HER!?!?!?!”
Let me look at a few things.

NextGen:
SURE they had a few glitches, and bad gameplay, but I didn’t really see the big deal in some of it. Elise… so they had a human character; big deal. Sure she’s hanging around Sonic, but it’s not that bad! I don’t like Elise as much as the real characters, but don’t try to kill her! Come on!
And Silver. . . I personally loved that guy. He was actually pretty cool, on my views of him. My own fanfiction has him in it! I don’t care if he has a high voice; if that’s what they chose then they chose it and I respect it!
Okay… So Sonic dieing wasn’t the greatest turn… but I still loved it! I can’t cry over it, but I liked it a lot! At least they brought him back. If they let Sonic stay dead, then Iiiiiiii'd be a-rantin' and ravin' with y'all, UNLESS they created another game-sequal where they brought Sonic back, but then there would be twice the hate, and my opinion has had enough wear-and-tare from the hate alone from Next Gen.
The kissing scene wasn’t that bad! It was just a kiss, people. A kiss, no SEX or anything like that. JUST a kiss. Shut up about it. If it WAS beastiality then Sonic would have been on top of her, rubbing her down with his crotch on hers, grabbing her chest, and they would have been gasping and moaning. Were they? I think not.

Sonic X:
One of my favs! Yes I know you wanna mutilate and maul me now, but it’s true: I love Sonic X! Not really the Englesh as much as Japanese, but I still liked the 4kids dub! Okay, 4Kids. They're not gods, I believe that. But I still love what they put out; and I think people who hate them are overreacting.
Chris wasn’t that bad a character!!!! Sure he whines but he's a developed character. What more do you ask of them? What, do you want them to put SALLY in there? Oh my gowd if they did put that hybred squirrel-chipmunk, then the show would have been shit (oooh, Sally fans are gonna maul me 8D)

I could go on forever so let me cut it on a final note:
I am frightened that Sonic might just die if the “fans” of Sonic keep hating every little game and character ever created. Most of them are good. Like Silver, Blaze, Shade, Ix. . . The only real characters I hate are Big and Froggy. Amy, I LIKE Amy as a character. Not as Sonic's girlfriend."
