Done with pencils...Gosh I'm so proud of this! I spent like six hours on it, driving crazy with my pencils, and I'm glad of the way it turned out! ^^

OMG, really? That's so exciting! ^_^ I don't know that I've ever inspired anyone before!!
Thanks for the compliment!
I really like how you used the pencils- I love the colors in the background very much, and I'm very impressed with how you varied the tones in the hair and skin! I think I see some blue in the hair? And the combo of browns and yellows for the skin looks great! (Do I see some purple in there, too?) Btw, I forgot to mention last time that I'm really impressed with the way you got the light source! The shadows and highlights are perfect!
Colored pencils do typically take a lot longer to really color a picture, but I love the kind of detail work you can get out of them.

Yes, I agree. Even if it was a real pain, spending those six hours, an entire morning, to do it, I'm so proud of the result that I'm ready to do it again right now! XD I liked colouring with pencils... With all those traditional media, in fact, it's so much more touching than colouring in Photoshop! >.< I'll try to improve my skills at tradi a lot more during the holidays
I'm glad you like the picture, and thanks for all the compliments! XD See, you can really inspire people...

^_^ I like traditional media a lot, too. I agree with you, I think it makes the work more personal. Plus, there aren't shortcuts the way there are in Photoshop- you rely solely on your own skills to create something!
Can't wait to see your progress with traditional media! You're really good at digital stuff, so I know you'll continue with that, but it'll be fun to see some traditional stuff from you, too!
Aw, you're very welcome, sweetie! I love your stuff! (Isn't it fun to find friends here where you mutually enjoy each other's art?)
