This is mainly background practice with texture experimentation and i think it came out pretty good!! it also includes headcanons haha

SO in TY2, Dinosaurs and the Marsupial lions were introduced. They could of had pretty cool potential! The Never Never (dinosaur level) was initially intended to be part of some sort of time-traveling storyline, having Ty travel back into prehistoric times. However the story was changed yet the level remained. Which leads me to think that somewhere in the TY universe, dinosaurs casually roam Australia lol
The Marsupial lions were also supposed to play a bigger part, as an entire level based around them was scrapped, including a chieftain of sorts. Probably due to the mentioned story change, but idk much about it :v also fun fact! Marsupial lions are also known as thylacoleo! a prehistoric big cat basically.

My headcanons kinda merge these two "unfinished" elements/characters into something that I think is pretty cool imo!
The Marsupial lions prefer a primitive lifestyle rather than rely on technology 24/7. Though they do need assistance living in the harsh outback, so thats where the dinosaurs come in. They and the dinosaurs thrive together in tribal clans. there are 3 clans based around the various climates, like earth, wind, and sea. Each clan utilizes different species of dinosaurs to their specific needs. Like, The earth clan uses large herbivores to carry supplies, gather plants, and travel. The wind clan uses flying dinosaurs to do the same things, while the sea clan uses aquatic dinosaurs. Of course, not all dinos are friendly towards the lions or other civilians for that matter. Allosaurus and Muttaburrasaurus are two notorious examples for aggressive dinosaurs. (and Ankylosaurs have a slight temper but are still tameable) Because of this, the Marsupial lions' territories are known as "The Badlands" to the modern locals, due to how potentially dangerous the area is.

In this picture, Carnifax is bringing Ty to the earth clan's village using a trusty ankylosaur. As they're passing by, Ty points out the familiarity of the cliffs. Carn explains that after Ty's defeat of Boss cass, They scavenged his giant robot and settled around in Rainbow cliffs temporarily, eventually turning it into a sanctuary. They understood the powerful capability of the talismans, so they've hidden them away as to not accidently open anymore portals to the dreaming. Despite this, His chieftain claims to stay in contact with the elder bunyip.
