EDIT: Thank you for your amazing support on this awareness! I'm glad I could get the word out one way or another since they're are too many lazy "artists" scamming others for easy free art. I've decided to add a few more original gaia creators that i've spoken to help y'all out a bit~ I also decided to add the unoriginal gaia creators as I feel they sort of deserved to exposed since I know a lot of people come to them for gaias but don't realize that they're premade designs-EDIT2: Aight so I noted the creator of the premade Gaia I obtained awhile ago asking to return her since she's wasn't original at all and they finally responded. Look below and I've never seen such a childish response.
Ok so, I'm very pissed rn due to people making unoriginal gaias and putting them up as adopts. I fell victim to one of these (fun fact: it was the 6th one, it was real easy to remake her) and I just want to get the word out.
Anyways, I made all of these Gaias using their premade sets. Which means, every part of their design is meant to be together as a matching set. These are extremely unoriginal and very lazy. Even though these are mainly OTA's, you're wasting a bunch of talented artist's time in creating you art/characters. Why bother making gaia adopts like this if you're too lazy to at least try and mix and match the designs they offer? These took me at least the same, if not LESS amount of time than my own gaia adopts. (Which I make batches of 15, while there's 32 in total in this, which is essentially the doubled amount of gaias)
But yeah, PLEASE Stay clear of Gaia adopts that look like this, or extremely similar to these. (especially recolors, since gaiaonline has a LOT of recolored stuff to spread variety throughout creations) In my opinion, I'd say there should only be 2, maybe 3 matching parts, but the rest should be something totally different. An easy way to distinguish unoriginal gaias is too pay close attention to their attire. Ex: if tops, bottoms, or hair have very similar features, like peach girl (30th gal), fire fox (2nd gal) and the witchy astronomer (#22), than you automatically know that the "artist" did not try whatsoever. Though other times it's hard to tell, so just be cautious please.

People, including me, have confronted them about the situation and they say this bullshit about how they "took my input to heart" and that they'll "change it up in future batches". But they've been making unoriginal gaias for months now and I doubt they'll ever even try to be original. It's crazy that some people don't care about this obvious issue-- there's no valid argument to gaia's being exactly the same. There's literally SO many options, and people still choose to make sets to scam people. It's gross.
From personal experience, MissCotter takes forever to get back to people with their adopts. I have 3 from her-- but they're older, original ones that she let me claim since she couldn't provide the original ones I offered on. I'll likely be changing up the designs a bit to be safe. This took about 2-3 months. Which really sucked since I worked so hard on the art.

Though I luckily only traded her for an adopt, so I talked with the creator and told them I was going to put the adopt back up for sale since there's no way im keeping the premade design.

I don't mean to budge in or seem rude, but bakagummi was just trying to warn you about premade gaia designs via this deviation. Since not all gaia makers will be original and will scam many people with 2 second designs just to get free art.

Aw man sorry to hear that. I'd also say Nightfoxgansters sold you a premade gaia, as there's no way that's just a huge coincidence to syo's.
Not saying that I defend either of them, I just don't understand whats so hard about being original in dress up games. especially in Gaia or Recolor.me where there's more than PLENTY of options to choose from.

Idk how to help you there. Maybe confess that you recently discovered that this adopt is a premade design and give them a refund of sorts. (Though if they gave you art for it, I'd take it down/don't use it)

Honestly, I didn't want to do this. However, I can give more proof as to how possibly so many of her batches are premade
Last night, I went onto her latest batch and I checked which were premade or not.
From what I discovered is severely disappointing.
Qtoria18's Latest Batch (Proof of Copies)
All her adopts in her latest batch are premade due to either how completed they look and how I eventually found the rest of the outfits on avatar builder.
Now, there were only three that I pointed a question mark over, since I still couldn't find if they were premade or not. However, despite that, I can only assume they are based on truly unoriginal this whole batch is

It's also horrible when you think about that a lot of people come to them still for many of their gaias, and don't realize that almost all of them are premade.
and it's also even worse when multiple people confront them about the issue, lie about "fixing their future batches", and still make these premade gaias.

Honestly, it's getting to the point where we need to callout people like Qtoria more often.
I even know people that watch me or that I follow that get adopts from her and I really think more people need to know.
Also, I have a feeling that even her oldest gaia batches are premade too, which means that she doesn't care about the time and effort a lot of people put into their work.
It's like someone said down there in the comments, it's truly disheartening.

Yes, that's why I updated the deviation with the users who sell premade gaias, because I knew only a handful of people are going to note me so why not just spill the tea so that those users can get exposed easier.

Honestly, I'm thinking about making a journal soon about this, but I'm not sure if I'm really going to do it or not.
I believe this needs to be spread around more but I wish we can try to explain things like this the best way possible (regarding gaia adopts/ dollmakers)

holy cow, im happy i found this, i almost offered on a batch by qtoria18. i havnt been on gaia in a LONG while so im not very familiar with all the sets and the way they look s;dlfks;df
i also feel really honored you like and recommend my adopts s;dflk;sdf
i use the gaia avi builder yes, but i also take it a step further and put them in sai to touch up and blend some features to really smooth it out <3
i dont understand whats so hard about mismatching tbh, specially when gaia gives you colour groups to work with too
even if you dont follow the colour groups everything still fits with one another, so ive never seen a point of using one item as the whole design [that and just not mismatching feels so boring to me]

and if you hover your mouse over an item it'll give you a title of what it's called, which is what I do to avoid making premade looking gaias.

Wow. I kinda thought it look odd when I looked at a few of their adopts. I should have known but 8 hadn't been on gaia since zomg was canceled....
And to think about it I think I ended up getting adopts from 2 of those people. But I suppose i couldn't blame myself they looked nice. I couldn't tell at the moment. Plus I was just about to get 2 more from them xD

and with that in mind I feel like there's someone else you should add to the trusted list, , she was the person that actually got me into OTA's and Gaia adopts in the first place, and it was because of her adopts that I found you and a few other Gaia creators that I trust, so I really think she deserves a spot on the trusted list

Yeah I'm not dealing with premade gaias haha. I just hope more and more people come across this deviation and realize that there will be people who just want easy + free art.

and I'm currently warning 5 of those who adopted from this batch if you could confirm wether or not 2, 3, 6, 11, 14, 16, 17, 20, 34, and 36 are premade set designs I'd appreciate it so I could reach as many people as possible

You're totally fine! I'm disappointed to hear that since that means ALL of her adopts are premade.
Meaning so many people got screwed over by premade designs, which is pretty pretty sad. This even includes myself since I got screwed multiple times. :/

I was very close to falling for them as well! They make so many so often that they flood all of the gaia adopt groups, and if you don't realise it's them it's easy to fall for the scam. I've ended up blocking them so I just don't see their posts anymore haha
Thank you for helping out and sharing this issue with others, you're doing a great job! It is a shame to see someone falling for these, but in the comments of a lot of them now I'm seeing people cancelling their offer because they've been informed of the scam! That's awesome progress haha~
