EDIT: Thank you for your amazing support on this awareness! I'm glad I could get the word out one way or another since they're are too many lazy "artists" scamming others for easy free art. I've decided to add a few more original gaia creators that i've spoken to help y'all out a bit~ I also decided to add the unoriginal gaia creators as I feel they sort of deserved to exposed since I know a lot of people come to them for gaias but don't realize that they're premade designs-EDIT2: Aight so I noted the creator of the premade Gaia I obtained awhile ago asking to return her since she's wasn't original at all and they finally responded. Look below and I've never seen such a childish response.
Ok so, I'm very pissed rn due to people making unoriginal gaias and putting them up as adopts. I fell victim to one of these (fun fact: it was the 6th one, it was real easy to remake her) and I just want to get the word out.
Anyways, I made all of these Gaias using their premade sets. Which means, every part of their design is meant to be together as a matching set. These are extremely unoriginal and very lazy. Even though these are mainly OTA's, you're wasting a bunch of talented artist's time in creating you art/characters. Why bother making gaia adopts like this if you're too lazy to at least try and mix and match the designs they offer? These took me at least the same, if not LESS amount of time than my own gaia adopts. (Which I make batches of 15, while there's 32 in total in this, which is essentially the doubled amount of gaias)
But yeah, PLEASE Stay clear of Gaia adopts that look like this, or extremely similar to these. (especially recolors, since gaiaonline has a LOT of recolored stuff to spread variety throughout creations) In my opinion, I'd say there should only be 2, maybe 3 matching parts, but the rest should be something totally different. An easy way to distinguish unoriginal gaias is too pay close attention to their attire. Ex: if tops, bottoms, or hair have very similar features, like peach girl (30th gal), fire fox (2nd gal) and the witchy astronomer (#22), than you automatically know that the "artist" did not try whatsoever. Though other times it's hard to tell, so just be cautious please.

People, including me, have confronted them about the situation and they say this bullshit about how they "took my input to heart" and that they'll "change it up in future batches". But they've been making unoriginal gaias for months now and I doubt they'll ever even try to be original. Hmm 3, 34, 36 definitely look like premade gaias. 11 might be premade but I cant be 100% certain. I don't think 14 isn't fully premade as the legs don't look to go together. 16, 17, 20, might be premade but its hard to tell.

I'll add to this if that's okay [since that post is still getting offers and stuff]: 10 is premade, 7 is premade, 2 is premade, 12 is premade, 4 is premade, 13 is also premade. Those are what I can confirm at least.

I did as well, hence why I made these to spread the word about these awful "artists". They're basically scamming people like us just to get some easy + free art. >:0

I used to make gaia adopts all the time but got really disheartened when I saw things like this. Accounts with nothing but sets were becoming more and more prominent, and nobody seemed to notice/care, even when it was pointed out. It's honestly such a relief to see this post, I thought I was going crazy haha!

Yes! I confronted a user name Qtoria and they said something like "I will take your criticism to heart and will do better in my next batches! thank you!" but no. they don't take it to heart as they keep making batches full of unoriginal gaias and they hid my comments. they did the same to some other people who confronted them.
I hope more and more people see this and realize that there are extremely lazy "artists" who just want easy + free art. ^^

oh wow, I just found an account that literally every single one of their recent gaia adopts is premade- or at least VERY much look that theyre premade oof
one some its easy to tell 100% and on others its more difficult bc I haven't seen all the items before
I was gonna offer on some too..
like...even if you use the outfit set?? at least change the face, hair, and accessories to make it different enough... but they're straight up sets as far as I can tell

Yeah I know 2 accounts that have 99% premade gaias and its ridiculous. Neither of them even try to change It up whatsoever, and are basically scamming artists for easy art.

i hope your post reaches a lot of people so that they dont get ripped off. god these dishonest and lazy 'designers' ... aren't the set items formatted right next to each other too? i've seen people put in their description about all their super similar gaia designs claiming to be 'coincidences' ... bruh
it really sucks that happened to you. i dont really change gaia adopts designs when i draw them either unless i have something specific in mind for them. it's hard to tell sometimes when it's a set because there are also colorscheme items from different sets which when combined flow very nicely could look like a set.
what i just think when looking at their adopts is to see if a particular item is reused throughout theirs or someone elses adopts (certain pants, hair, accessory, etc) research their page a bit and sift through their other stuff if they have a bunch of hidden comments or people arguing, or if their account is super recent (unless they linked their main account somewhere).
i appreciate the shoutout, i hope everyone that comes onto your page/finds you through this knows that you're a 100% trustworthy adopt maker yourself. respect for making this and taking your time to inform others, i know i wouldn't have done this because i keep my mouth shut to avoid conflict. if anyone comes onto your page with drama aimed at you, i support you. <33

Yes! I was super pissed when I figured out I got scammed- Like Her design was too beautiful to pass up and I even made a her a full bio and I was working on her reference to. Luckily I didn't since I would of wasted a lot of time/work lmao
yeyeye your gaia designs are some of the best I've seen, and it definitely be hard to identify them since gaia reuses a lot of colors. But I do hope more users come across this deviation to realize that not all of the gaia "artists/designers" are going to be original. When I was making these, I began to easily distinguish other people's gaias if they're original or not.
hECK Thanks so much my dude! I honestly take originality and creatively very seriously, especially if you're using doll makers since a lot of doll makers will have premade sets. So like I will gladly fight anyone who thinks they waste a bunch of artists' time making them art that they don't even deserve tbh. Like if you're going to make adopts; especially on dolls, you got to have your own style, originality, and such. and if you're too lazy to put a damn gaia together, then you don't deserve to make adopts at all lmao

I'm so sorry to here that ;; I'm pretty sure many people have fell victim to unoriginal gaias- You could ask the original creator to give the adopt back and take down the art/character(s) you gave to them? I completely understand if you don't want to offer on other's gaias anymore, as I bet people do this kind of thing with other doll makers as well

Sadly, you're not the only one that fell for this and I seriously feel you.
I was somewhat screw by someone 5-6 times before I found out that they're literally putting copies in their batches.
This upset me a lot since I actually put effort into those drawings I made for them and I even confronted them months ago on notes regarding this situation.
Recently, about over a week ago, I was doing my Gaia halloween batch and I saw that this person was back on DA. When I checked their new batch, I notice immediately that some of them were copies (and they didn't post anything after my confrontation until that day). I felt like this person lied to my face of not doing that again. I later checked again and I notice 2/3 of their batch was all copies and completely premade.
After this, I made a warning on my server regarding this individual and hope more people were careful about dollmakers like gaias in the future.
This is my own personally experience. Despite how I still do these adopts (which is still mainly for fun), I do everything possible to not only make the outfits creative, but literally buy the items in question.
It's seriously something that baffles me how they're still going strong today with dozens of people coming to them.

I'm so sorry you had to fell victim to one of these.co traded an adopt (a favorite one I was proud of to) for the premade Gaia. I wrote her a bio and was working on a reference until I discovered it was an exact matching set. Hence why I created these, because I was really pissed off.
And holy Heck all of those are premade?? Thats ridiculously lazy and I cant believe that. People like that need to not make adopts if they refuse to put any effort into then.

Honestly, it really messed with me a lot since there was two that I really like from their batches. I even have people drew one of them until I discovered that the both of them were premade.
And yes. It all came from one user and I have plenty more to show from this person.
Even though they do credit the site and such, they are still not putting any effort or creativity in, and that's really disappointing.

I personally don't like gaia adopts at all, due to the fact that all of the pieces are premade items that can be combined in the same order by literally anyone else on the internet, no matter how many clothing sets you're pulling from.
