If only Unico could be there for Chirin and bring him back to the light. Then Chirin could learn something about friendship and coping with the loss of his mother.

Well Chirin was made by Takashi Yanase and Unico was by Tezuka. You should give them credit. As for their friendship...unlikely. Chirin was meant to be pragmatic and Unico is too fantastical.
