This piece is one of a few new things I'm trying pay homage to some of the stuff I've seen or played or whatever that has inspired me. Recently I've been watching Boomerang (Cartoon Network's classics channel) and I've seen a couple of old shows that I used to like but are super corny now when you watch them. But, those types of shows inspired me in some way.I took a shot at FangFace since he's one of "those meddling kids" knockoffs that tried to follow in the footsteps of Scooby Doo and other Hanna-Barbera shows in the 70's. It's not very good, but one thing I took away from it that I have used myself in Lunar Diaries was the fact that when Fangs turned into FangFace, he always kept his hat, like it was an outward representation of his humanity. I took that analogy and used it when I designed Nightwolf that she kept her hair ribbon, a trait that grounds the character and pulls them away from being just beasts.
Anyway, after watching it again recently, I decided to try and design my own version of FangFace. Enjoy!

Wow. I feel old now. XD I remember this show. It may have been a knockoff, ut we sure had good memories of them. Or at least I did.

I remember Fangface. Yeah, it was a show that tried to capitalize on the Mystery Kid craze Scooby Doo spawned, but at least Ruby Spears did their best making it original, with Fangs being a Shaggy clone, but when he turns into Fangface, his personality changes to that of a brave, yet silly werewolf that keeps his loyalty to his friends, no matter what form he's in.

Hm, I never heard of this character at all but I love your design for him. He's so handsome yet cute. Very reminiscent of the awesome cartoons of the past. Lovely work.

I love Fang Face. I've kinda though my self that he needed an upgrade. I have an idea in my head but haven't been able to get anything on paper that I like. Oh nice job by the way!

It's funny how Fangface came before Scooby Doo, but the meddling kids era seems to have started on them instead of this!

i love fangface but it came out in the 70`s and scooby-doo came out in the 60`s.

Ho ho!! And this wasn't even Hanna-Barbera, this was the new guys on the block in the 70's, Joe Ruby and Ken Spears who's productions later included Centurions and Turbo Teen! In the 80's they where THE action cartoon company, churning out Rambo, Mr.T, Centurions, Thundarr the Barbarian, Mega Man, and a few others
