Daughter of Pirate and Native American Ghosts. Before you go and say "That's a weird name", Native Americans, in the "old days" would think your name is weird. In History at my school we're learning about Native Americans so I should know this.
She got her name because she can "Communicate with nature". She actually understands nature and its elements.

I'm sorry you got such a harsh critique from that blog, but I do agree with them on some aspects of this character. First of all, Native Americans are not monsters, or mythological beings, they're real people. Second, you've made a common mistake that a lot of writers make, that is reducing the culture of dozens of different tribes into some sort of, peacful, nature-loving, "nobel savage" sterotype. That being said, I hope you don't take it as a personal insult. I don't get the impression that you ment any harm when you made this character. I hope I haven't hurt your feelings, I normally wouldn't critique the idea behind someone's character, but I think you deserve an explanation as to why this might be offensive.
