----------------------------------------Scene Five; Rolling in the derp--er, deep.
Characters: Albert, Robin, Klein
-----------------------------------------
Getting the seaweed seemed like such an easy task for Robin, Klein, and Albert. However, with two pokemon like Klein and Albert, nothing is as easy as it seems, and a mission to collect an ingredient turned into an impromptu rescue mission. Derp; What else could POSSIBLY go wrong?
Klein grabbed onto the thicker ice, watching Robin with envy. "I...w...wana help grab kelp too!" He said to Albert before he breathed deeply and sunk under the water, leaving the archen alone on the surface.
Albert squealed as Klein went under, looking around nervously and shivering violently, before looking back into the water. All he had to do was just catch the kelp...Easy! He edged forward, glancing into the ice hole. Just....catch the kelp!
There was a crack, and he froze.
Albert looked down, just as the ice he was clinging to broke, and with a shriek fell into the water, violently flailing.
Robin dove down fast. It didn't take him too long to reach the sea weed, and after he grasped an armful, he began to spiral upwards the surface. It was then that he realized the two were in the cold lake, and he rolled his eyes at the sight of the two. Just what were they doing?
This job is going to take a little longer than he expected....
The wartortle sped up, and as he passed the shinx, he gave a quick hand motion at Klein, trying to tell him to return to the surface. The seaweed was deep down, and it might be dangerous for the shinx to encounter the amount of pressure at the bottom.
Klein was swimming as best he could downwards to where he could barely see the kelp... if he opened his eyes. Which he wasn't so he missed Robin's hand motion, and continued thrusting downwards trying to reach the bottom of the lake.
Albert thrashed terribly in the frigid water, all reason lost as he flailed. The ice was only an arm length away, but his fear overtook him and he began to sink slightly, still flailing violently.
Robin glanced up and down, face palming. Everything was going wrong, oh so wrong. They both appeared to be going down- and it was this moment that Robin wished he had learned double team. The wartortle glanced down at his seaweed clutch and then tossed it aside, missiling down towards Klein. If he was fast, he could grab the shinx and then richochet back up to save Albert too- if only that cat stopped swimming downwards! Robin caught up with Klein and managed to grasp his tail. He yanked the lion up, and towed him up towards the surface.
Klein still had his eyes closed when he felt something clamp onto his tail and yank hard. Klein opened his mouth to yell, bubbles streaming from it as the star on his tail illuminated brightly int he darkness as he let off a spark, electricity sizzling into the water around him.
The electricity spread through the lake as it fired from Klein's tail, shining in the deep water.
It reached up, and as it hit Albert he screeched one more time, before freezing up, paralyzed. Slowly he began to sink, unable to thrash enough to keep himself above water.
Robin mouthed a curse and let go as he felt the shock, using Iron Defense to shield himself from the sparks. His body glowed a faint orange outline, and during this reflective physical stage he took the shinx by the shoulders and turned him towards him, shaking him and trying to make him open his eyes. STUPID BOY YOU ARE BEING SAVED. LOOK AT ME.
Klein swallowed water at this point, but opened his eyes to see Robin. He blinked, then flailed as his air supply ran out, choking on the water he'd swallowed.
Realizing Klein can no longer breathe, and that they were deep underwater, Robin decided to risk a move. He quickly froze Klein's mouth and nose with a thin layer of ice, preventing more intakes of water. Then, he hugged the shinx with one arm and swiftly swam to the surface as fast as he could. When he reached the sinking Archen, he grabbed him with his other arm and used scald, directing it towards the bottom to propel him to the surface. At last, they broke the surface, where Robin quickly turned to thaw Klein's face with scald, trying not to burn him.
Klein really didn't like all this handling, but somehow managed not to let off more electricty as they finally reached the surface. He wriggled out of the wartortle's grasp and began coughing as he collapsed on the ice shivering as he tried to get some air back into his lung
Albert didn't move as he was dragged up, falling flat onto the ice and twitching slightly as he coughed, still paralyzed.
"A-a-am I-I-I d-d-dead?" he whimpered, shaking and sputtering.
Thankfully, there were no further mishaps, and the trio was able to collect the rest of the kelp without incident. If this was any indication on how things were going to go, then things just got more complicated....

The lighting and ice are fantastic. I just wish you did more with the water to compliment it.
