Description
It has been said that before the dawn of the Elves of the Forest, there lived a much more reserved race - a sub-species of what we call the High Elves. A kin that did not need the leaves and sun to survive, nor the animals and creatures of the Green Man... They weren't sure what they needed at first until the first of them came upon fire. Not faerie-fire as they were used to, but a twisting desire of reds and yellows. Soon, fire was what they needed, and consumed like the best mead. Their homes were deep caverns that punctured the Earth Mothers flesh like a jagged rusted-dagger, their food was the heat that rose from the depths of Hel, their drink the liquid fire that coarsed so deep inside the core of Gaea that not even the Gods knew it existed. This elixir gave them the element of flame, and over generations changed their anatomy so intricately that they were soon the living emodiment of fire. They could control it, devour it, breathe it... And soon they were known as the Fire Elves.
