Description
I finally made my own Issun shimeji.Correct me if I'm wrong, but I never once found a shimeji of Issun. That's kinda weird, though, seeing that he isn't that hard to make.
This is my first time ever making a shimeji, so expect some errors. Do tell me if you find anything, I'll try to fix it!

When it says that i assume you have windows 7 and your java is updates to java7, originally shimeji work more smoothly on windows vista and xp, and on java6. Dont worry, i have windows 7 and java7 and i am able to get them to work on mine, you just have to do this-
Right click the application file (specifically on the name or the icon of it) and click properties
Click the compatibility file
change it to be compatible with your system then click "apply" and "ok"
once you have that done then double click the .jar, not the application file, it should run smoothly from there. :3 it has worked on all of my shimeji of this kind, and if all else fails then you can always copy the img files into a working shimeji img folder

Oops
Have you installed it? Maybe you should update to the latest version? Or restart your PC?

Hmmm... I seem to get an odd colour-changing thing when he's crawling around my dash. He's always got a red glow around his immediate person, and then a dark green glow past that. It's rather... distracting It seems to go away only when he is against a very specific kind of dark blue.
Did I do something wrong, or...?

Hmm... The red color is done on purpose
I did it to make him look mad, but I think it's too brief, huh?
I don't know about the dark blue thing, though... Maybe it's a glitch? The shimeji software kind of ruined my transparency, so it may be it. (it's best if you use a lighter color wallpaper)

I love it! He's so fun! The only thing that is a little irritating is that when you pick him up and he isn't moving the bottom of his glow is cut off, but there isn't anything you can do about that apart from adding an image and changing the code in the program, which neither can I do nor expect anyone else to do. He's wonderful and you did the best you could with the tools given! I hope mine turns out so well...

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked him!
And yes, it's annoying to see the glow cuts on the bottom. I've tried to mask it with something, but nothing seemed to work.
You're working on a shimeji?
I hope you can finish it soon! Good luck!

Yep! I'm working on my Estonia right now... I'm already over halfway done! It's so fun. Well, I think it's fun. I guess some people just don't like making them because they're so tedious.
Actually, sometime I might mess around with the shimeji program to put things in a more logical and comprehensive order. My boyfriend knows quite a bit of programming and so do some of my friends. Although I don't know the language yet, I know enough about the principles to get by with the help of the internet. I think I might be becoming quite a shimeji enthusiast!

Estonia! So it is you who made him!
Don't worry, I think he came out really nice! He looks cute! (I've seen the preview)
Yeah, making the same pictures for 46 (or more) frames really isn't easy. Especially when you're the type to get bored easily (like me). But making shimeji is fun! It's amusing to find what activity will the shimeji do in certain frames and all. It's all about being creative!

Oh, I'm so sorry. I forgot to put an explanation in the description.
Open your shimeji folder, and open the folder named 'conf'. Rename the 42 kb file to 動作, and the 10 kb file to 行動. You can also use this [link] to make the menu readable.
If it's still not working, try installing or updating Java.
Enjoy Issun's company on your desktop!

When you pick him up and hold him, it uses the same image as when he's standing on the ground, so it's cut off. But otherwise it's totally great! : D

Actually, that happens to all shimejis. I know that his glow is a pain, since it always cuts off in the wrong places. That happens in one of the frames where he duplicates himself.
