Bored on the phone at work again and in the mood to draw more Astro. It seems that's all I've been feeling like drawing lately! Maybe because he's such a refreshing change to my usual complex lookin' characters. Meh, I dunno. I also seem to favor that vesty shirt combo, myself! I also drew Uran to kinda get an idea of her scale compared to him.edit: I drew Cora. Forgive me, it was at the office and I didn't have a reference to how she looked! (I shoulda brought in my soundtrack cover for reference!) However, the wardrobe change is on purpose! It stands to reason that since she made it back to Metrocity, she's got a nicer wardrobe. I tried to make her look like a trendy tomboy to keep with her high spirit.
Another issue I had was rendering her age. In the movie, she looks to be around 14-15, but from an official source (I just can't remember which one) she's apparently supposed to be 17. Oh, and since I had the phone pinched on my shoulder, I drew her askew, so she looks like she direly needs a chiropractor. XD

Uran looks cute in her outfit, and so does Astro and Cora, but I've a fanfiction of Astro Boy in Fanfiction.Net its called Wishes and it said that Uran had a pink hoodie, pants, rocket boots, and arm cannons, can you make an outfit like that for Uran.

Yeah, I guess in the 80s version you're right.... although Uran has been the sister since the 60s and her roll hasn't changed unlike many characters such as Atlas.... but Uran does get into a lot of mischief! That's another thing I like about her character, is that her behavior remained consistent, unlike Astro's. He's always been a good boy, but his personality changed a lot from the 60s to the '03 version. But I digress. X3

I know where I heard someone say she was supposed to be 17. It was a video interviewy thing about the Astro Boy game and Kristen Bell describes Cora, her character, while mentioning that Cora's supposed to be 17.

Yeah, I saw that one and another one where she was said to be 17 during the premier. Oh, well. Astro's appeared age is supposed to be around 13 anyway, so I guess they're not extremely far off. XD

Wow, Cora looks just like her movie self! I'm so using your pic of her as a reference! XD But no seriously, I probably will for at least the next few pics I do of her. And I also really like her wardrobe change!
I really see what you mean about what you told me on my Uran redesign, which will probably be deleted soon because, frankly, I'm embarrassed by it. :/
BTW Personally, I think the whole "Cora is 17" thing is retarded. I mean, she does NOT look seventeen. I think she looks either thirteen like Astro, or maybe fourteen at the most. But I guess that's just me. :/

Cora definitely didn't quite look 17, I certainly concur with you on that! Now she did look slightly older than Astro, but probably not more than 15.

Maybe they were trying to make her too old for Astro to keep away the whole AstroxCora pairing? If that's why they're saying she's supposed to be seventeen, that's retarded! People are gonna support it anyway! I mean, in the 2003 series, people supported AstroxEpsilon, which I find kinda wierd. :/

Truthfully, although I personally think Astro should end up with Cora as a pairing, I also think it's not possible because he's a robot, and she's eventually gonna grow up and he won't and it'll be sad.... but I guess we who assume the liberty of creative freedom can keep them in a perpetual state of youth, huh? Apparently that's what works for fangirls! XD

Yeah, that does make me mad. But, that's also made me think to come up with ways that Astro can grow up! XD But, no, seriously, I spend time thinking of ways that Astro could grow up and he and Cora could stay together! And hey, it's a cartoon! Anything can happen in a cartoon!

Very true, things like that can be possible if it's executed the right way. Every time I think of Astro having the ability to age or something similar, I always end up thinking of "Millenium Man." You ever see that movie with Robin Williams? That's what it reminds me of. XD

No, I haven't. :/ My two theories of Astro's aging ability are--->
A. That every year or so, he has his apperance and other such things updated. That's the most likely of the two, but my least favorite. (It's not unusual enough! XD)
B. They obviously have EXTREMELY advanced technology in the future. I mean, Dr. Tenma was able to scan one of Toby's hairs and get his memories from it, then put them in a robot. And he was also able to basically give him a heart and soul. I'm fairly sure that agin wouldn't be too much more difficult to achieve if they could do those other things. :/

In Astro Boy the 80s series there was an episode called "Outer Spaceport R45" where it was thought a murder mystery was happening on the spaceship. Actually a man created a robot son, and each year he made him a taller body so that it looked like he was growing older. The old body was disposed of. So people didn't realise that his son was a robot.

Yeah, I know which one you're talking about. It was yet another remake of one of the episodes of the original 60s series. Tezuka must have really wanted to just redo the 60s series! (I was watching some of the 80s ones during the past few days and commenting to my husband every time I caught one that was a remake. XD Which was like, 90% of the time!)
