A really nice picture, you seem to have her attention enough to get a good angle on her, and the light shows the wonderful feather coloration, I have two amazons, a blue front and a lilac crown, they are not distructive at all, and really love to sing with me, I also have parakeets, cockatiels, and lovebirds and in my opinion the most messy and distructive are the lovebirds, not that they mean to in harm, but their curiosity can get interesting at times. I very nice pic here.

very interesting! Thank you. I did not know lovebirds are so messy I think maybe smaller birds make more mess and are more agile than larger ones like it is the case with dogs? Huge dogs are often calmer than small ones, which tend to bark a lot and are sometimes hyper.

Really nice picture - it's a Blue-Front Amazon - they're cool birds. We had one at our pet store for a couple of years, finally sold to her to a great home and they would come back and tell us about the words and tricks she taught herself!

I have an African Grey now - really want some more birds someday even though right now isn't a good time - sometimes I feel like I don't give enough attention to my one, even though I love him dearly. But maybe someday a rescue bird or two, and a blue front is one I've thought I would like to have!

Sounds great!
I like parrots a lot though I never would want to have one, since they destroy furniture and other things with their strong beak (I know some people who need to buy new keyboards almost weekly because their Greys pull out the buttons with their beaks) and need lots of attention and toys and everything to be entertained.
You should give him a partner though, most parrots are very social and live in huge flocks in wilderness and do not like to be alone. Especially when you leave home to go to school or work or go shopping etc. he remains alone and feels stressed.
Amazons and grey parrots are also two of my favourite parrots. They are beautiful and intelligent Birds are great.
My budgies are currently making so much noise but I would not want to miss them.

Henry's always been really good as far as not chewing things, though I know some birds really destroy things. He's a good bird. I'd like to have a companion for him, but he's shown some aggression to other birds when I've introduced him. I wouldn't want to leave him alone with another bird till I was certain they knew each other well. Meanwhile I bring him to work with me, so I'm around him almost all the time. And I always bring him out and introduce him to clients and so on - he gets some good social time.
I've grown up with birds since I was little - my mom still has budgies and cockatiels, and I love them all. We saw some really pretty budgies and canaries in the shops around the Garment District in LA today too... they were singing and chirping.

I heard of that problem before, that some birds react aggressive when introduced to others, thats really sad. But its great that you can bring him to work with you! You seem to be lucky that he does not destroy anything. My budgies are good birds, too. They also do not destroy anything. They leave my plants, posters, wallpaper and books alone and I am proud that they are so well behaved pets
I always admire the canaries when I go into a petshop or in the animal shelter.
I love their singing and I plan to buy some of them later.
Birds are really my favourite animals right after orcas and together with other sea animals.
