Here's my little girl.While I do enjoy turtle soup when I can get it, I don't think I'd be able to drink tortoise tea.
Even though I just snapped this with my digital camera, it does seem to have some artistic value. I like the composition

I am supposed 2 be homing a red,yellow terrapins but dont know much about them i have loads of different pets BUT i know tortoise aren't the same
but its just a shot in the dark lol if u have any info that would be great i am reading books and all sorts as quick as i can
i looked after a giant tortoise for a little while he was awesome but they get so big that's why i went for terrapins although they bite eek. but then so does my parrot so i am used 2 it

no!! cucca is the name i choose to name turtles..i used to have a turtle named "cucca" but i lost her..
now i call all turtles cucca..because they remember me my turdle T_T i miss her so much..but hoepfully you can see her on my arts ^^

The breeder told me the eggs were temperature bred to be female, like with crocodiles and alligators. And if the bottom half of the shell (plastron) is fairly concave that is supposed to mean its male. Those are the only ways I know of telling a tortoise's gender
