By the way, this is probably a stupid question, but how do you get the white outline? Do you do it by hand or use a photoshop thing?
I've been doing my white outlines by hand and was wondering if there was an easier way whoops

OH YES A MUCH EASIER WAY
at least on photoshop
on your layer that you drew on, right click the layer
go to blending options
go to stroke
Tick the box, and change the colour to white :3

in photoshop:
right click the layer you want the effect added to
go to blending options
then click the drop shadow tab and tick the box
mess around with the distance and opacity

i like experimenting with burnt paper textures and construction paper textures

ah cool, becauae it doesn't look that good when i try to drae with a texture.

try setting the normal setting tab on your texture to linear burn or multiply and see if that helps
and make sure the texture is on a layer above your drawing layer
