ETA!!!!!! hey, folks--where in the heck is all this traffic coming from? I'm not complaining, mind you, just really damned curious. I don't normally get this many hits!Materials: Fox tails, deerskin

Description: Here's another piece from the fashion show I did in July; I've made ninetails sets before, but I had Kylie, a wonderful fox lady, as one of my models, and she was the perfect reason to make another set. The base and belt are red-brown deerskin, while the tails are all wild red fox tails. I think this is the nicest set of these I've made; they create a lovely shape, and would be a wonderful addition to a kitsune costume!

I guess we don't have this problem much in England. I know it happens and I know the reasons for it but I still just think it's cruel and nothing can change it. I know if we didn't kill cows for meat and leather we would be over run with cows but there are other ways to control the population without slaughtering them.

Actually, yes, we do. Wolves and other big predators died out in England hundreds of years ago, since then deer have run riot - particularly in the North and Scotland. Deer are hunted and killed on a regular basis; if we didn't hunt them, they'd surely destroy the countryside and trees. Same goes for foxes here. They run strife through our towns and there's a big population problem, pest controllers kill over 70 each per week and it's not even denting the population.
There's absolutely nothing cruel in hunting, people don't do it because they enjoy the killing. Hunters have to learn to know the animal and understand how it works, how it thinks. When you understand an animal, you learn to respect it.

Maybe not, I agree there are other ways that are better, But in where I live if we didn't kill them they would kill all of the vegetation off. Cause deer eat a LOT. But it's always different in different places. And I respect your opinion highly because I agree every living thing should be treated equally and we shouldn't kill them as much as we do, But sometimes it's the only way.
