Description
Perfect Grade Strike Freedom take two: Main body complete! Now it's time to tackle the wings again. I'm going to repaint the white on the dragoons as well, which is going to be infinitely frustrating but ultimately worth it. The head will be getting a violet LED to give it that extra bit of love just like the original had a blue one.Overall I'm much happier with how this is turning out this time around, I made sure to put forth the effort to paint the white this time around even though it was frustrating as hell and I added in more gold details to make the purple pop. Repainted the silver for the frame and other areas too to fix up flaws in the paint and made sure to avoid screwing it up this time around by mucking around with it. This iteration of the kit is something I'm much happier with than the original I finished last year.

If the paint is smooth, I just prime and paint over it. If I need to remove paint I'll wetsand with 320 grit sandpaper then repeat the process with 1000 grit sandpaper to smooth everything out.
Wetsanding with 1000 grit is also what I do if paint has imperfections in it, followed by painting over it.

I work fast SF should look good in red, aslong as you pull it off right. That color has always been rather picky and requires priming and such to make sure the hue is the same across all the parts.

I'm sure it will, the important thing is having a solid base white coat on all the parts you'll be painting first. spray painting or what?

i think it was acrillics, im not sure, but of coarse i dont think a white base is neccesary because when i paint the protoman model kit i painted over the original colors

right, but if you're painting sya,a black part red, it's going to take a lot more coats to get the red to look proper and even then since the base color is darker the red will be a shade darker. on top of that if you paint red on another part that has a different base color that will also impact the hue.

i was actually planning on just painting everything thats blue red, and then painting the golden parts, or joints in to black, i bought a glossy black so the joints will still shine,i may repaint everything thats already red so that it looks even though
